First electric set, have had an acoustic for years. Roland sounds are so on point it sounds like the jam tracks I’m playing with. I did upgrade to the cy-13 for the bell, but the feel was the real winner over the bell action. Mesh heads are super quiet and feel great and responsive. Would recommend, fun to record with is a plus and able to keep volume down as I practice.

Coming from playing and playing with real acoustic drums, and hearing other electronic set, I had reservations. This thing sounds amazing. Multiple preset kits that are fully adjustable. You can Bluetooth and play along backing tracks or songs. Clicks and practice regiments built in. My favorite part is a flawless recording sound without the mic setup and room adjustments. I can have any kit for any genre is seconds, with only 2 cables. No worries about stick clacks or unintentional rim hits. I do recommend buying an extra cymbal for a ride tough.

I had an acoustic Tama kit sometime ago and enjoyed playing but had to sell them. Too loud. Now that I have these things it’s 10 times better! I can play it with headphones or through my FRFR speaker so many different sounds so many different possibilities it’s endless lots and lots of fun wife’s getting a little mad at me for playing too much

The Roland TD17 KVS is a great budget option for experienced drummers. Very compact and quiet, great for practicing without bugging your family and neighbors. The mesh pads feel like real drum heads. Definitely worth picking up!

Had this kit a few weeks now and it's been great. Haven't used many of the advanced features but just playing on it has been really good. Surprisingly easy set-up. Already had a throne and kick pedal so it was ready to go. My teenager uses these to make less noise and he loves them. It's Roland, so it's great as expected.

Extremely well made sturdy kid with great sounds that everyone will love.. the sound of the different kits are the Roland quality that we have all come to expect. I bought this mainly for recording, however if I needed to gig it, I wouldn’t hesitate. It’s built sturdy and definitely feels like it could handle gigging without a hitch. Very happy with my purchase!

i purchased this set for my home studio for the purpose of recording. we usually practice with an acoustic set but this setup paired with a good quality drum amp is versatile enough that we often use it for rehearsals too. feel solid. heads are very responsive and adjustable. i would invest in at least one more cymbal pad maybe two. there is room on the controller for additional triggers.

It has a close to a real drum kit feel and a great variety of sounds. Super easy recording as well, just plug-in to my MacBook Pro using MIDI or a instrument cable to my interface and ready to go. I purchased this kit nearly two years ago in December. I have had zero problems with it, set up was very easy and quick and so are the adjustments. I wasn't doing bad on my acoustic kit, but I really wanted to get better. This kit allowed that to happen. It is of very good quality and the drum sounds are very nice!! No complaints at all on the kit, if you're considering it, do not hesitate. Pull the trigger and get one! AMS is very easy to work with!!

This is one of the best investments I made for the in home studio. I can also practice late at night without disturbing the family and neighbors. I was worried about the sounds for recording. But the drum samples sound really good for recording. I would recommend this for studio and live settings. The drummers that play it really enjoy the feel and the sensitivity. I am considering adding an extra cymbal. Highly recommend this drum set! It also has Bluetooth which is a plus for me for practicing with the tracks.

We bought this set for my son, Liam, for Christmas. He picked up his love of playing drums from his Uncle, who has the same set too. Liam is only 7 years old, and has been taking drum lessons for almost a year. Once he started playing the drum set his uncle has, we KNEW this was THE perfect Christmas gift for him. On Christmas Eve, we open gifts at midnight...he was SO HAPPY to get the new drum set. He has learned quickly how to use it and is looking forward to his new drum lessons with a new teacher who will now show him to read music too. My little drummer is the happiest kid ever!! I've had the kit for about 3 weeks and I love it. I'm a guitarist teaching himself to play drums and was ready to upgrade from my Alesis dm6.
The mesh heads play great. The rack is sturdy and allows for you to set up the drums to suite you. The sounds are good enough (I'm no connoisseur) that I don't have to my ez drummer 2 software to get a decent drum sound though I have the flexibility of using the USB midi connection.
The only "regret" (if you can call it that) would be that I wish I had sprung for the KVXS kit. I ended up adding a used CY13r ride cymbal (an excellent upgrade) and for the cost of that and a bit more money, I could have gotten the VH10 hi-hat too.

I love Roland brand anything but especially drums. I did alot of looking around at different sets and testing them out and this set is by far worth every penny. All the different things it can do and the sound I feel like I should be in a studio! The only thing is that it doesnt come with a bass drum pedal for people who dont know you have to buy that seperate. Anyways if your looking for a great set and not break the bank these are it!

Quick shipping. Payment plan made it affordable for me. And it plays awesome. What I loved about the set was you can assign each drum to play over 200 sounds. Very cool. I love it. Alright so I have spent some time dialing into these drums and did many of months of research before even buying a set. I have to say overall I am overly impressed with the amount of things you can do with this set. Being able to program the drums two ways has been a dream as far as dialing in for certain sounds. I originally Bought this just to have a set of drums at my house that wouldn't be full on loud 24/7 when my three year old gets a hold of them thank you volume control. I have to say this is a perfect set for beginners to a more advanced drummer looking to do different sounds and just having fun. You will not be disappointed with purchasing these they have overly impressed me and i haven't been able to stop banging on them since i got them.

I am so happy with this kit! I thought it would be hard to setup but it was super easy! The feel of the pads is uncanny and you can even use a drum key to adjust the tension of the heads. The module itself is so easy to use, it has bluetooth which I use constantly to play along with other tracks using Spotify and my phone. The drums sounds are amazing. Each sound can be changed in tons of ways, pitch and volume panning you name it. Oh and here's a really geeky detail; you can use an sdcard and if you have custom drum samples saved as waves you can import them into a custom kit! I purchased a set of Linn drum samples and now I'm playing Prince drum lines like nobody's business. Highest possible recommendation!

Everything about the edrum set is great except for the Hi-Hat. Theres something about it that I just cant get right. No real tactile feedback in the feet, no synery as a whole which means I cant keep in the zone.

This set is really nice,far nicer than I expected. The rack is super heavy duty. Every piece of this set is made extremely well. The mesh pads feel perfect. The tones in the TD-17 are epic. I’ve only just set this kit up, but it is blowing my mind! I’ve been living in a apartment for years and had resigned to not having a kit due to a bad experience from years ago. I finally broke for this one and man am I glad I did! The Bluetooth capability to listen to music off of my phone and being able to EQ the drums to jam along is unbelievably fun. Reminds me of when I learned to play and the pure joy. Sounds are incredible!!
