This is a really cool little vocal transformer. I wanted to run it thru my Boss JS-10 trainer and I didn't have it hooked up to bypass at first and I wasn't getting a good sound out of it at all and a ton of feedback. Then my roomie told me to run it thru bi pass if I want to not have the effects from my guitar bleed thru to the vocal transformer dughhh. Anyhow I am having a ton of fun with this little gadget now that I have it hooked up right. I'd give it 4 stars only for the fact that the manual doesn't really tell you much.

Voice changing is great. The auto tune amd vocoder is amazing I really have no complaints for what I use it for ,but I’m sure it’s a little fun box of joy to any application enjoy like I do please.

I’m still figuring it out but feel like it’s a great product that I will learn to utilize well eventually.
It’s a little strange there is only XLR in but 1/4 line out. I usually don’t really like to interact with the engineer beyond what’s your name and thanks- and not being able to plug their xlr for the house mic in wasn’t what I expected.
Anyway for COVID times and just using with my interface for live streams, it’s a crowd pleaser.
The midi feature is great. The mic sense is also good.

I like the option of battery powered or usb .
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to transform your voice. This was a great product produced. There is nothing negative i have to say about this product. When I say this is a gr8 piece of hardware its a understatement. There are so many options with the Roland VT4 voice transformer. Hands on deck no worries about time consuming, confusing software. Power this awesome equipment up and enjoy yourselves. I Love It!!!

This product exceeded all my expectations. I've worked with other voice processing systems in the past,this is the best one I've ever found it's better than isotopes nektar it's better than task scams new ta1 – VP which cost $500. Simple easy to use up and running in less than 30 minutes

This little box packs big punch. I recommend this to ANYONE trying to enhance, autotune, use a vocoder or just add melodies or more thickness to their vocals. Or simply to just change their voice. One of the best features is the vocoder in my opinion. Awesome plugged into a keyboard, or just on it's own, this box is great, especially for it's price point. If you're debating, buy one. It will not disappoint.

Very nice work here Roland! I've always wanted to be able to add my own vocals to my production, but was not blessed with the voice to be able to do so. Luckily, Roland made the VT3 and then improved and updated it with the VT4. I really love this device. First of all, it sounds phenomenal. The sound quality is great and maintains it's resolution while processing your vocal with every effect possible. The design of the interface is pretty much perfect too. No nesting menus or confusing sequences of buttons to get the sound you want. It's all right there for you on the panel. Easy connectivity, MIDI input, and a sleek look makes for a nice addition to my setup. Highly recommend!

The VT4 was new to me! I’ve been a TC Helicon user for the last 8 yrs. I like the easy of use with the VT4. On the left side of my live keys set up I’m able to come up with very unique soundscape for my vocals! This is the BOMB!

This is a really cool product that has opened up new creative avenues in which I can take my music. The ability to play harmonies with a midi controller is so much fun and awesome. The actual device is easy to pick up and start making cool sounds. Only thing I don't like is that I wish there was a way to control how robotic your voice sounds but other than that it is a sick product!

In their attempt to make this super-intuitive, I think they should have still included a much more detailed manual. Simple things like "hold this button, while pressing another" are not clear in the manual. The device sounds great, but I'm still trying to get the harmonies / sounds that I am imagining and the device isn't the easiest to find those sounds. Think of it like an Apple product: once someone shows you how to make the settings, it makes sense. But, until then, you will be stumbling around.

though this is really more for a dj it seems, I enjoy it. I like it more than the tc helicon, the red one. that was okay, but most of what it did I have on my mixer. this has pitch AND FORMANT, which is totally needed to switch your voice in a convincing manner. to try and get a feminine voice, which I realized I wanted in the kind of music I make, dreampop/shoegaze/post punk, changing the pitch just gives you the chipmunk effect, while it seems a strange subject, I would think about it and forget it for years, and was surprised to find how much stuff online there is with others wondering. that said, pitched an octave up with formant less than halfway up sounds great, some reverb, good to go. the effects sound good. the megaphone sounds cool. the reverb is good, though it doesn't have as much as I'd like, about as much as a hall or so. the vocoder and robot are really cool, and from the demos on youtube you can do a lot as far as layering the effect with the keyboard

Would have given it 5 stars cause it works AWESOME BUT the manual sucks doesn't show how to really use VT4 had to dig and dig on YouTube until I finally found someone who showed all the functions. Some companies really suck not doing tutorial videos on new gear especially when manual is super small and English part only 4 pages or so long.
