Guitar is perfect. Great tone, feel, no modifications needed.
The amp is "OK" . Tones are not what I hoped for. For the money that I spent on this combo...its still a great buy. I recommend this to anyone

First off, I bought this guitar based on the style and the fact that it included the boss katana. I have been learning on it for a week now and my fingers are numb. It's got some great pickups and sounds nice and warm. I really dig the style too, the only thing I would ask for in a future model would be a pick guard. But I will just be careful not to scratch this beautiful satin black guitar. As for the Boss Katana? Its a great amp, what more can I say. The usb output is also nice and it syncs up with boss tone studio to change the effect settings on the amp and it gives you a very wide range of effects. I wish it didn't have big opening or included a cover on the back though.
