I would highly recommend this guitar

This guitar right out of the box was set up perfectly, the tone is great and so are the pickups. Before purchasing this guitar I bought a Fender Tele Deluxe and it was the worst guitar I have ever played I returned it, so I bought this one since it was similar and I have not been disappointed at all. The features on this guitar are better and for a better price too. This is my third Schecter guitar and the build quality is great.

Standout Guitar

Product Review
First things first: the guitar is beautiful. As soon as I took it out of the packaging, I had to take about 10 minutes just to admire the aesthetics of this thing.
I have become a big fan of Schecter over the years, as they seem to be the absolute best at making fantastic guitars, with fantastic features, at every price range. This guitar is no exception.
I play all types of genres, and this guitar has the ability to give you any tone needed at any time. Truly a do-it-all guitar.
It stays in tune as well as a guitar can. Played a 2.5 hour set with very minimal tuning needed throughout.
HIGHLY recommend this guitar. Don't hesitate. Just buy it before Schecter realizes they could sell it for much more.

This is my first Schecter guitar and I am very happy with it. Really impressed with the quality of the guitar. It just needed to be tuned out of box and it was ready to go which is very nice. It's a real solid player guitar for a great price. Mine does weigh in at 9.5 lbs so it weighs about as much as my Les Paul but that doesn't bother me. I've been playing this guitar non-stop messing around with all the different tones you can get from it. I wasn't sure what to expect from this guitar but I am now a fan of Schecter and would not hesitate to purchase this guitar again or any other model they have.

Love this guitar. Aesthetic, tone, weight. Love all of it. Only thing I do not like is I keep getting some fret buzz. Neck is properly set, frets are nice and level. Continuing to trouble shoot and hopefully will find the problem soon.

The Schecter PT Fastback II is an amazing guitar, with awesome tones, splittable himbucking pickups and surprising low action on the fretboard with no buzzing. The fit and finish is perfect and with features like a Bigsby tremolo system, it just looks so cool. The metallic green finish and the Grover tuners are also a very nice touch...All around this guitar is a ten!

THE best guitar in this price range.

Product Review
Fantastic. Beautiful green finish. Licensed Bigsby works great, holds a tune. Nice pickups, bridge is on the kow output side a bit... no real death metal chugs. I play stuff ranging from NOFX to Reverend Horton Heat and this guitar is a real player. The coil-tapping also makes this a mean ska machine. My only complaint, and this is petty, is that they didn't do something a little more eye-catching than dot inlays... split crowns, or blocks I think could've really popped. I have some significantly higher-priced guitars, and I find myself enjoying this just as much as, or sometimes more than those. If you're more into playing stuff on the metal side, consider something else. But if you're anywhere from honky-tonk to hardcore, you could really enjoy this.

Very happy with this guitar. This is my second Schecter, so I was expecting good things. They did not disappoint. Fit and finish are excellent and it was setup and still in tune when I took it out of the box. I got the metallic red one, and as mentioned by others, the pictures don't do it justice. It really looks good with the black pick guard. I am also amazed at how well it stays in tune with the Bigsby. The controls are straightforward, and yet they offer so much variety in tone! The split coils for the pickups are great. You can get anything from a twangy Tele to the warmth of a Les Paul, and everything in between. It's great how many different sounds I've gotten out of it in just a few hours of playing around. Can't wait to take it to rehearsal this week. If you're looking for an all-purpose guitar, this is the one.

I haven't found a T style guitar I loved until I got my hands on this one. Beautiful looking super quality for the price point. Needed very little setup. Schecter hasn't let me down yet. The pickups are a little hotter than I like but sound crisp and clear with some real bottom end. Not muddy just deep. Very happy with it.

This guitar plays well and sounds great and has a lot of range with the coil splits. The action was great right out of the box. My only complaint was the fret edges were a bit rough for this price range. I've had much better quality from that standpoint on guitars that were a 3rd of the price. I have tools and enough knowledge there to make it an easy fix, but shouldn't have been needed.

This thing. I absolutely love the tone. At first I wondered if the bridge position was a little too far from the bridge for my personal tastes, but no. It sounds wonderful. The middle position is my absolute favorite, those deep bottoms and bright tops. The neck position is lovely for jazz and blues. When you pull up the knobs and coil split, you get a surprisingly bright chime compared to other schecters I have played. The neck is easy to maneuver, it keeps tune better than any guitar I own, and the bigsby is a perfect match for this work of art. Side note, this guitae is definitely a bit on the heavy side, and has little to no neck dive.

I bought the emerald green one and when it arrived I checked it over carefully, couldn't find any issues and it is gorgeous. I've never bought a Schecter before because I assumed they were for playing metal mostly, glad to see they are making a retro series that is very versatile. I'm a old guy,66 years old and I love this guitar, great neck and good for blues and rock. If I had to nitpick I wish it was just a little lighter, mine was 8.8lbs and I try to keep my guitars under 8lbs but if I lost this guitar I would buy another one!

must have a grounded electrical system

Product Review
I bought it, I live in a old farm house, the electrical system is problematic. The guitar produced unwanted hum and noise. Would not work with my solid state Line 6, everything works with the Line 6. tried on my 5 tube 20 watt amp, worse than I expected, hooked it up to my hybrid Orange amp, bad hum and unwanted static. I bought an isolation transformer and it quiet it down however it sucked out all my tone so I bought a graphic equalizer and put it on my pedal board. It helped some. After all that I sent it back anyway.

I play blues and classic rock. I was looking for another axe to complement my strat. This is the one. Very versatile, from CCR sound to Cream, this will do the job. You can play AC / DC, to Sabbath. Perfectly set up out of the box, it was even in tune. Amazing quality and finish. You can’t go wrong with this one.

Product Review
I have to say, this guitar is built amazingly well. Not only the finish, hardware, and aesthetics, but the fell of this guitar is fantastic. The neck is smooth and is a standard modern feel. But you still get that great vintage feel. The start like cutouts make it very comfortable and the angled neck plate where the neck and body are joined make this and easy player. The electronics sound decent and have some good tones out of it. Coil splitting makes it pretty authentic in the tele realm. And a convincing Les Paul-esque in humbucking mode. Overall I m very impressed with this guitar and it is really solid. The hardware was well beyond my expectations as well. I wanted a tele deluxe style guitar and I can happily and confidently say that this was the best decision for what I was looking for. I highly recommend this guitar. Feels like most of the $1500 to $2000 guitars that I have either owned or played over the years as far as quality.

I hesitated on buying this because it looked like a Tele clone. After playing it, this axe is anything but a clone. This is what a Tele deluxe hopes to be. When I bought my last three Fender guitars, I had to do hours of fret work to make them play how this one felt straight out of the box. Play-ability, tone, versatility, and finish are all way better than I could have ever expected at this price point. Bigsby stays in tune well too. I play everything form country to metal, rockabilly to blues...this nails them all.

Just got the metallic red version last week. The online pictures don't do it justice. The guitar was triple boxed and arrived in flawless, perfect condition, setup, ready to play. I did a good bit of research prior to ordering and was considering at least two other "big-name" brands. At my local GC store, I spoke at length to their old-time luthier about each. Without hesitation, he recommended this Schecter over the others, citing quality and the extra appointments the others lacked. I did want a tremolo and would have had to add one to the others I was considering. "Not a good Idea," advised the luthier. Anyway, purchased this one sight unseen, from American Musical Supply and couldn't be happier with it. Others in my band have played it and now want one. Lots of tonal variations with the split-coil pickup arrangement, and it stays in tune, even with a lot of tremolo use. A nice thin neck, like my strat. Definitely a keeper, and it will permanently join my "big-name" collection.

This is Schecter's take on the Tele Deluxe. The Schecter pickups are far better than I expected. The coil split makes it very versatile. The hardware is all high quality. With the Grovers, Graph Tech nut, roller saddle bridge, and Bigsby it holds tune very well. The build quality is excellent. It arrived perfectly set up and ready to play. This is a versatile and well made guitar that is as good or better than guitars costing far more. It's a blast to play.
