I run multiple racks for lighting control, video processing, and interface linking. I purchased this case to create a portable lighting control solution that is easy to set up and tear down while also being lightweight and portable. I placed a Furman power conditioner, an ADJ mydmx3.0 RM, a DMX splitter rack, and a custom 1u panel for plugging in low-power fixtures directly from this system. I plan on purchasing another 2u case for my video processing rig and I am already designing a 4u microphone system using this case. 10/10 would recommend and 100% would purchase again for the practicality.

I’ve seen these cases numerous times as a traveling touring musician. Our playback engineers have always use SKB cases for their laptops and interfaces either immediately jumped at the opportunity to on one of these for myself as a solo artist, and an artist, who also programs and stems out his shows, and having the opportunity to use my computer and interface all in one setting, was just top-notch for me. I’m so glad that I made this purchase, and I would highly recommend it for any type of engineer, ProTools engineer, logic, engineer any type of playback engineers. This is definitely the case for you.

The 4 space is perfect. I have mine holding my stagebox and an m32c. The tops fits my MacBook perfectly. I can use the whole setup and portable FOH, Mon, or even a recording rig.
The 4 space is not huge so it fits about anywhere.
The case itself feels like a pelican case. The locks are decent.
Depending on what you mount, you May or may not need longer rack screws, but the provided ones are good.
Putting it through the ringer and this far it’s held up perfectly.

Such an awesome case! Nothing really out there like this, and was exactly what I was looking for! Fits my new Apollo x8p perfectly, no worries about the knobs being crushed whatever. Keeps everything in place with lots of extra space in the back for cords. The storage compartments are nice but I wish they came with holes in the back for routing cords. I drilled my own (voids warranty) and stuffed the power supplies in there. My dream rig is now portable!! Rolls nice too even on pavement. The wheels can also be replaced easily if they wear out.

I had been struggling with trying to put together a mobile rig for my keys set up. I purchased the 4U version of the case less than a month ago. It's great!
I have my Macbook Pro on top. On the first shelf down, I have my in ears monitor transmitter and AudioUSB box from Personus. Next down, in the back I have the shelf mounted holding my USB hub and cables. The 2nd shelf in the front is open for ventilation. The 3rd shelf houses the Behringer DI 4000. Finally on the bottom I have my power conditioner.
LIKES:
Lots of space for my gear
Closes easily and stays closed
Rolls well
Solidly made
DISLIKES:
None really.
