In searching for a pedal that'll give me a sound close to thundercat this pedal has become essential for me as a bass player and music producer. I barely play my bass without it now! The different knob options the pedal gives doesn't seem like much at first but are all SUPER effective, especially the relationship between the range being set to slow and the peak and gain knobs. I've only had the pedal for about 4 months and its been used in almost EVERY track I've produced since purchased. I'm also able to tweak it to make my tone on bass sound better than before! I can use it subtly and drastically with not only my bass, but with synth and keyboard sounds as well!. I know for a fact I'll be using this pedal for the rest of my life haha.

This was exactly what I was looking for. It’s been tough being a musician with pretty much all the gigs being canceled. American Musical Supply is so clutch for having monthly payments to help get the gear you need especially during these COVID times when things can be financially tough. I always use AMS whenever I need to purchase any sort of gear!

This pedal alone is worth the buy I have many assorted pedals and this one plays well with a lot of different pedals and heightens your sound at the same time. The classic funk sound that you would expect and right on point every time the Q Tron plus also has many features such as a boost and a sweep switch definitely would recommend this pedal in any pedal chain for amateurs to professionals the sturdy make of it also is great for gigging

just got this less than a month ago and this was an essential to getting "Jerry's sound" for Dead tunes, also great for some 70's funk and soul. very easy to set up and dial in. Best envelope filter I've tried

This thing was on backorder for MONTHS and EHX didn't respond to emails to find out when it would be restocked. Finally got it four months after I ordered it (not AMS' fault). It was an expressive tonal palette and is responsive to attack giving the user a broad brush with which to paint your tone in filter and modulation effects. The same pedal used by pros including John Mayer. It's a great investment for those looking to push their sound beyond the conventional.

Out of the box it's user friendly. For funky tones and that Jerry Garcia envelope filter sound from the late 70's and 80's can be dialed in. Very impressed and excited to add this tool to my rig. Quite possibly the best envelope filter on the market but certainly the best I've had the pleasure to own and operate.

Product appears to be well made, only have had it for a few weeks, but like all EH pedals, made of metal and solidly built
Can't comment as haven't owned long enough. EH pedals are generally reliable though.
Your general opinion of this product.
Only negative so far is the loud pops that will occurs when switching settings on the pedal if the pedal is on. Make sure to turn off pedal by footswitch before making any switch changes like the Sweep. Overall, the pedal has to be worked with to find the right tone. THere are a lot of options on the + model and some appear not to work, but with a little time and patience, I could dial in some funky sounds. A friend has the original Mutron III, which was what I was trying to achieve. I definitely was able to get similar sounds. Not sure I like the GAIN knob, and have only tested at the end of my pedal chain as recommended by others. Would recommend, but not sure if you need the + model vs. standard.
It's a pedal, click on click off. It's a heavy pedal, larger then most, with a non-standard Power Supply 24V, so couldn't use my 9V chain supply.
With adjustments in sweep, filter, fast/slow, gain, etc, you can get a wide variety of tone. Some settings appear to do nothing, others a pure funk.
Need to tweak, which is expected, for the guitar, amp and setup that you use.
