This takamine is really sick with it ! She Sounds as beautiful as she looks , and she's even more beautiful in person. Even better yet she plays as beautiful as she looks and sounds . I am super pleased for buying this guitar ! Thank you takamine for making such an awesome guitar

I just love the Takamine guitar, its craftmanship and sound quality. I own 3 Takamine acoustic quitars.
The only minor issue I am having with this one is when I plug in the 1/4 jack, there is no sound from the amp. I have to put the jack out about a quarter inch.

I already own an Epiphone EJ 200. Now I am playing this one instead! Always wanted a Takamine and this one has not disappointed me. Stays in tune. Crisp bright sound when you want it. Great controls. I will consider buying another Tak only the next one will be a dreadnaught single cutaway. I’ll definitely look at American Musical first. I ordered by phone and the representative was friendly and knowledgeable. Taking it out to the pub to play tomorrow. May put lighter strings on it. They feel like 12’s

I purchased this guitar for praise and worship so it is played alot. This jumbo has the low end covered and sounds great alone or amped. The pickup is hot and I usually keep the volume on the guitar at the halfway point. Great guitar and very happy with AMS.

I've owned Takamine acoustics in the past, so when I was looking for a jumbo acoustic (something very hard to find from many of the bigger manufacturers), I decided to try the GJ72CE. The flamed maple on the back is stunning! All it required was a set of my preferred acoustic strings and it was ready to go. Fit and finish were excellent right out of the box. The built-in tuner is also a big plus in my book. For the price, this guitar punches well above its weight class. Couldn't be happier to be a Takamine owner...again!

Purchased this Takamine based on reviews and brand. Definitely a great guitar! After it arrived about a month ago, I took it in to have the action lowered and completely set up as I play finger style guitar. Unbelieve response! The deep tone, resonance and playability is incredible. Onboard electronics are high quality. I'm 6'4" and this guitar fits me perfectly. It's appearance is stunning with nice appointments. American Musical Supply was quick on shipping and superior customer service. Highly recommend this Takamine for all playing styles. Meets all expectations!

This guitar holds its tune well and has a nice tone. The electronics are solid, and it definitely sounds nice for recording. For amplification, it's a bit hot and takes a bit of tweaking to get it where you want it, but this thing does play nicely. The jumbo size also takes some getting used to, but there's nothing wrong with that. I owned an older Takamine electric acoustic years ago that was absolutely wonderful. This one isn't quite as good, but it's still a nice guitar

Bought this guitar to upgrade to something with electronics. Didn't want to drop a fortune, the price for what you get it's out of this world. This guitar plays like one costing twice as much and the finish is great also. Plays well right out of the box. I took a chance after reading all the other reviews and can say I am glad I did.

I'm a 48 year-old rock guitarist and I've had a guitar in my hand since age 4. I've been fortunate enough to have played a variety of guitars over the years and I'm very fond of acoustic instruments.
The Takamine GJ72CE jumbo acoustic/electric is without a shred of doubt, one of the best guitars I've played in my life. I ordered it a couple of months ago and I can't seem to be able to put it down. Although it has a slightly larger body due to the jumbo size, it is very comfortable. The mahogany neck fits in my hand just right and the sound, ...oh lord, the sound is just crystal clear, warm and downright beautiful.
As I sit here and think about my experience with it, I honestly cannot come up with any negative things about this guitar. I know it sounds like bull, but it really is that good and I'm very happy with it.
The only thing that wasn't quite right, was that it came with a 9-volt battery that lasted about 10 minutes. If you're ordering one and plan to plug it into a PA, I recommend you get a name-brand battery as the one it came with is not going to last.
If you're looking for an acoustic/electric guitar or even just a regular acoustic with a big sound that will not break the bank, by all means give this guitar a look. It is worth every dollar, it sounds great, it looks gorgeous and if you play your cards right, you'll definitely get noticed in a positive way.

I’ve had a lot of guitars over 40 years and there has been nothing close to this Jumbo Tak! I first saw Troy Gentry play a similar looking Tak in one of hus videos, bought this G series jumbo and never looked back. I play a lot of country gospel in public on a regular basis and this guitar is getting sweeter, now in year 2!

I bought the brown sunburst (B stock) blemish or scratch and dent version. It looks and plays like a perfect new one, but it was much more affordable. Mine has only the tiniest blemish in the finish around the sound hole that I had to really search for to find. This is my second Takamine, and this jumbo is definitely my favorite guitar. Sounds amazing and stays in tune! I also have a Gibson SG that has stayed in its case since my new Takamine GJ72CE has come home. You won't be disappointed.
