Great beater if you want a snappy tone. I like a little more dull boomy tone so the wider ones work better for me. I do like the way this is designed. It's solid and easy to change out.

So for 10 years I’ve been using a variation of Tama’s classic iron cobra beaters(wood,felt,rubber) based on the style of music I’m playing but was tired of switching out so I decided to try this one and after playing a 3 hour show I can say this beater is the perfect balance of the 3! I used it last week for the first time and my sound engineer noticed a big difference in the way my kick sounded. I told him it was a combination of this beater and my new Emad heavyweight(my favorite BD head). Thnx for the overnight delivery!!!
