I own a Vox AC-15 but don’t really want to drag it to band rehearsal. Enter the Vox Mini Superbeetle. This amp sounds great as is. However, I put the head through a 12” speaker cabinet with a really efficient speaker and holy cow! Totally changes this amp from a practice amp to an amp you could actually gig with. I’m gonna give that a try and will report back.

The star of this is the amp head. Enough controls to get great clean and grit sounds. Takes pedals well. Weak link is the speaker cab. It does have a 10 inch which at least makes it useable. Would have preferred a closed cab but, this is a real Vox and the nutube tech works pretty well. Plug this into a 2 by 10 or 2 by 12 cab and there is something good here.

After clearing out a pile.of amps to make room in my travel camper, I decided to give the VOX Super beetle a try. This thing is amazing. It does everything that I need it to do plus offers a few more features that have gotten me out of my comfort zone and trying to play some different styles of music. If you are looking for an amp to save space but still provide you with big sound, this is the one. It has replaced my Harmony H650, Marshall DSL40CR, and Fender Bassman Re-issue.

OK....aesthetics aside, this is a great sounding amp. Sure, this thing is gorgeous and has the look, but it has the brains to back it up. Just a super fun thing to have in your collection to not only look at but play through. Great tones and incredible volume for its size. Highly recommend!

Definitely has that VOX sound and a nice looking Amp.
Reverb & tremolo work well.
Louder and more powerful than I thought but still stay clear even at higher volumes.
Seems well built; workmanship and quality are great.
All in all a very nice mini Amp.
Would buy again.

Cool little amp. I have 4 other small amps. This one sounds best. It is easy to dial in a tone I like, I really like the look of it, and the fact that you can hook up another speaker cabinet if you want. No complaints.

I was skeptical about a “Nü tube technology” Vox amp but it looks so dope that I thought, why not. It’s only $300.
I have to say, this thing totally rips! If you’re looking for the Vox sound, it definitely has it. That and the awesome looks are the big selling points.
I love the boxy sound of the 10 inch cab it comes with, but I have run it through various other cabs and it can also sound huge!
I would bet against anyone that they would not be able to tell this wasn’t an AC15 on a recorded track.
It’s a cool looking and good sounding practice amp that could be gigged and recorded. Also would make a nice addition to any mid century decor haha.
I give it two thumbs up.

These amps are perfect for a niche overdrive tone that can only be heard and then recognized. The 60s and 70s had two basic rock tones and this is one of them.
This produces a sound that you can't get from most amps and have to work hard towards getting anything to even be in the neighborhood of this and it still won't be close.
It will of course do the jangle sound great. But there is so much more to the story.
As for clean tones, nothing extraordinary,...and that, in itself is a good thing. It just has a super beautiful clean tone that comes across very natural.The reverb is as good as I've heard.
It is NOT a toy. It is very pretty to look at and will seem like a toy or a novelty of some sort but it is not. 50 watts when running this head through extension cabs.
But the 25 watts is quite powerful with the speaker cabinet that is clearly specially voiced for this amp.
The one thing this amp will not do well is metal genre. The Beatles (clean), Zepplin, Bad Company, Def Leppard, to name just a few are all in the wheelhouse of this amp.
"Just at breakup" tones are soo easy to get at almost any volume on this thing. Very responsive to pick attack and volume rolloffs. Soo dynamic !

The VOX Mini SuperBeetle Stack w/25 Watts doesn't produce that sort of power! Maybe the Mini aspect of the system is too Mini! I was extremely disappointed. The whole package doesn't weight that much. It might be a factor.
I own another VOX Amp that is great. Not so much with this model so I returned it...

Remember that Marshall mini full-stack with an MG15 solid-state amp from a few years back? Looked cool in your guitar room or man-cave, but didn't have the sound to match the look? Well, you'd be forgiven for thinking that this Vox was the same kind of thing, that favored looks over sound, but you'd be wrong.
While the Vox Mini Superbeetle looks super-cool, it sounds huge! The 50-watt amp (25-watts when configured to match the ohms of the included cabinet) features the Korg Nu-Tube technology to put the closest thing to a real glass tube into the pre-amp. The result is a chimey tone that's distinctively Vox, that behaves like a true tube amp in terms of how it responds to the guitar inputs and pedals. While the amp can get LOUD, it also works well at lower volumes and hasn't gotten me in trouble in my quiet apartment building. The digital reverb sounds great, and I'm not a big tremolo user, but it also has a built-in digital tremolo effect.
The only drawback to the unit is that blue power-on LED! It's blindingly bright! I mean it's "if you had it outside, planes might mistake your amp for airport landing lights" bright.
If you're looking for a great classic Vox tone, in a super-cool package, it's well worth checking out!

I really like this amp and head. I love the fact you can put this head with other speaker cabinets. It sounds amazing, sounds like a tube amp and we'll it is a tube amp using the Korg nutubes.

The cutest and coolest little amp ever made that packs a solid punch. Lots of versatility with a look that can't be beat. Not only will I use it, but it will look so good just being on display in my living room. I've been waiting for this to come out for awhile and it was well worth the extra week or so to receive my order.

This is a fantastic looking VOX SUPER BEATLE AMP and sounds even better. I love the sound with the 10" celestion speaker and with the reverb and tremolo it is even better for that old original sound. The newtube tech is great and gives the pre amp a warm sound when you turn the gain up. If you are looking for a great Vox era Beatles style amp with the correct tolex covering and grill cloth along with the VOX logos and the mini size but with a box powerful sound, here you go.....
