I Was stuck between a yamaha hs8 studio or dbr12 for my room. I was amazed by the sound of yamaha the bass is really good especially for house music and edm genres. I DO RECOMMEND to buy a rca to aux cord if you want to listen to music on your phone. The quality is great and comes with warranty

I am a professional DJ with over 33 years experience. I have owned many speakers in recent years and I am very happy with these. I have had the EV ELX, the QSC K12 v 1 & 2 and now these. Save money and get these, they have more clarity and Fuller sound. The built in crossover combined with 1000 W power sounds spectacular. I can't wait to test out my new DXS15MKII sub! Trust the DJ, these bump.

I was literally blown away with these speakers, I never thought I would change over to powered speakers, till I herd them for myself at a fair, where a Dj friend of mine was using them for an outdoor venue, I am a Mobile Dj from Florida and I always used passive speakers. I never thought I would use powered speakers until I herd them that day for myself. they truly live up to their name, These Yamaha Dbr12s Can withstand a good Thrashing, I mean some of my gigs go for more than 6 straight hours of nonstop music. an not to mention the quality of sound that these small speakers give out is just amazing. I made it my business to get rid of my passive speakers and I now only use powered speakers. 1000 watts coming out of that small built in amp is also amazing. I no longer have to lug my rack with amps. Yamaha made me one happy Dj Thanks AMS
