The Limited Edition Sandblasted Ash Stratocaster features one of the most alluringly unusual finish treatments yet seen on a Fender instrument. After the transparent Crimson Red finish is applied, the ash body is literally sandblasted, leaving the surface grain pattern wonderfully textured with parallel ruts and grooves in which the black grain-filler coat shows beneath the color finish coat.
It’s a truly beautiful look complemented by a black pickguard, and the topography of no two instruments is identical. The guitar is also finely appointed with American Standard single-coil Stratocaster pickups, a ‘no-load’ tone control for the middle and bridge pickups (bypasses tone control circuitry when turned all the way up), and much more.

Sandblasted Ash Body
The broad grain of the special ash body undergoes a special sandblasting process, imparting a purposefully uneven finish and mesmerizing 3-D effect for any stage. Additionally, the ash delivers quintessential vintage ’50s Fender sound in the form of sweet, bright overtones with plenty of sustain.
Modern Neck With C Profile and Satin Back Finish
The Limited Edition Sandblasted Strat features a modern neck designed for comfort and performance, with a contemporary C-shaped profile (the shape of the neck in cross section) and a smooth satin finish. Ideal for those who play with the thumb on the back or side of the neck.
Vintage-Style Bridge
The vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge on the Sandblasted Stratocaster imparts classic style and tone, with narrower saddles that allow more comfortable string spacing.
Jumbo Frets
The largest of the fret sizes, jumbo frets are tall and wide, which lets you get a better grip on the strings, enabling more control over them and making bends and vibrato easier. A good choice for players with larger hands and thicker fingers.
Greasebucket Tone Circuit
The tone-control electronics in the Sandblast guitar include Fender’s Greasebucket tone circuit. When dialing down the tone knobs, this circuitry rolls off high end without creating additional emphasis on bass. That keeps the tone from getting muddy, and it helps create sparkling clean tone and great overdriven sounds too.
Satin Urethane Finish
As protective as it is attractive, each sandblasted body is set off by a satin urethane finish. The finish not only accentuates the color and grain of the instrument, but also offers smooth playability and durability.
