ESP LTD Deluxe EC1000 Electric Guitar

The ESP LTD Deluxe EC1000 Electric Guitar is built to dominate for rhythm and lead players.
The EC1000 is built with an incredible quilted maple top, a mahogany body with a set neck, a white bound rosewood fingerboard, ESP's excellent TonePros System II locking bridge, ESP locking tuners, 24 extra jumbo frets, and white binding with abalone on the body and headstock. Guitar players love the EMG 81 and 60 pickups for their wide range of sound - from sweet warm tones to raw rock 'n' roll. This is an excellent upgrade and it's a stock guitar!

ESP LTD EC1000 Features
  • Thin U Shaped Mahogany Neck (Set-Neck)
  • Hefty Mahogany Body Material
  • 24 Fret (Rosewood or Ebony) Fingerboard with Extra Jumbo frets
  • Black Nickel or Gold Hardware
  • ESP Locking Tuners & Tonepros Locking Bridge
  • EMG 81 Bridge & 60 Neck Pickups
TonePros Locking Bridge System
A simple concept that no one thought of until TonePros, the system features set screws on either side of the bridge and stop tailpiece. Because they secure solidly in place, intonation and tuning are more accurate-the bridge never falls off. Sustain is better, too, since all of the parts in the system are locked in place and become one with the guitar body.

Subject:Great Mid-Pro Level guitar for the buck.
Quality: I bet this would be a great road-worthy guitar, it holds up well, For the price you pay, you are getting a very good guitar.
Sound: Sounds good. EMG's crush. Love the 81.
Reliability: Had it for a few weeks now but I baby my guitars, I see a lot of artists with this model touring so I guess it would be alright.
Overall: I feel this guitar is good but could be better. The newer ESP's feel a little "cheap" compared to some of the older ones. This EC has some neck-dive but your picking arm rests on the body to compensate for it. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. Otherwise it is a nice guitar, good pickups, plays great and looks killer.
Playability and Feel: Plays smooth. The thing I like most about ESP's are their necks. Totally can shred on these. I wish the guitar was a little heavier though. I have an EC 400 from 2005 that is heavier than this surprisingly. Controls don't get in the way while tremolo picking. Locking Tuners are great and making changing strings cake.
Tone: EMG's are great for metal so...
Finish: A few flubs around the edges of the body and headstock, nothing major and certainly not visible unless it is under your nose.
Action: Fairly good set up out of the box, replaced the strings w/ a heavier gauge and tuned down to D. No fret buzz or anything like that.

Quality: Highest quality I've seen from a foreign manufacturer. This looks and plays like a Gibson Les Paul Studio model. Without the extra weight.
Sound: The EC1000 sounds great clean and dirty even at high volumes. From playing metal to classic rock and everything in between, this is a working musicians dream.
Reliability: I've had my Custom Model Jackson for 15 years. I just purchased and played my first show with the EC1000. This guitar is built to last, with maintenance and care.
Overall: As a Jackson player for 20 years, I needed a new back up. After doing my homework and lots of shopping around, I discovered the EC1000. I purchased a "dent and scratch" model, which saved me a couple hundred bucks. Couldn't find a blemish on it. Good looks, easy playability, and pro tone.
Playability and Feel: A super fast neck, with a light enough body to play the roughest shows with no fatigue. Controls, I'm just getting used too. This guitar will work for me, not against.
Tone: All of the above. The EMG's are incredible. Raw, clean power at high volume with no noise. If your a pro or semi pro player looking for a mid-priced instrument, take a look at the EC1000.
Finish: Excellent looks and in lays on this guitar. Beautiful to look at, fantastic to play.
Action: The action and intonation were almost perfect out of the box, however, I did take it in for a set up. Strap locks and new battery installed. This guitar is almost scary in how easy it is to play. With a pro set up, tuning problems are none existent, and harmonics ring out.

Subject:KILLER!
Quality: Very well made guitar. It is assembely line made unlike the high end ESPs but you can't beat it for the price. Great detail on the neck and body. Excellent pick ups. Locking tuners are nice and easy to opperate.
Reliability: Just got it so no time test, I have owned several guitars over the last 20 years and I'm positive this guitar will last forever with proper care like any instrument.
Overall: You can't beat this guitar in this price range! It sounds excellent clean & distorted. Plays very nice and is light enough to get through any gig. My only beef is that it didn't come with a case and I need to install strap locks.
Playability and Feel: Feels solid, the neck is perfect! I prefer a painted neck and jumbo frets. The controls are well placed and simple.
Tone: The EMG 60 at the neck sounds amazing clean, one of the best I've played. The EMG 81 has been a standard in all of my guitars and I'm very happy it came standard. Excellent tone, you can tell it is well made when you play it!
Finish: Very nice finish and easy to maintain.
Action: Needed some adjustments out of the box, since it traveled all over the country with climate changes etc it had a little fret buzz. Nothing a good guitar tech can't fix in 15 minutes.
