Purchased the Alesis Strike multipad thinking it would be ok but not great. This thing is amazing! So many features and sounds. You'll spend days just playing around with the settings and sounds I even forgot to eat one day because I was so busy "tweaking" settings! Buy it, and you will NOT be disappointed!

I do really like this machine. It is a total performance machine. Sounds great and easy to create drum kits with individual effects and master kit FX. It does not have a sequencer so when you record loops it records as WAV file rather than MIDI events with no quantization. That is the only let down. But hey, it will force me to perform rather than use sequencing as a crutch.

I've only had it mounted on my kit for a few days, but... in those few days I have found that it is totally awesome. the editing feature alone really got me stoked. I was able to cut down the length of a sample with total ease. Uploading files thru the usb port was super easy. everything so far has been pretty user friendly and self explanatory. This was a upgrade from the sample pad. on top of everything else the usability of the sample looper is going to be priceless in the recording studio when creating and you just need a quick drum loop

I research for a few months all the different multipads and the more I read the more I liked Alesis Striker Multipad… this machine has everything you need to perform live, record, create or just have plain fun, you don’t need a computer to navigate in inside of it, it’s so easy to use you can do it right on it… Thank you AMS, your payment plan made my dream come true… you provide free shipping, which got it to me in only two days as promised, the extended warranty sure makes a big difference, that’s why when I decide to get an instrument that I really want always buy from you… thank you again for what you do…????????

I purchased to use for Worship services at church. Not being able to use loops to kit defined tempo and use tap tempo to set loop tempo makes it fairly useless for what I hoped. No software interface makes transferring loops or samples clunky and time consuming. Needs some upgrades to make it a worthy purchase. I have shipped back!

This thing is packed with many features. I'm just beginning to figure out all it has to offer. You could add a couple of extra pads and some pedals and you could use this for small gigs without enough space to set up a full drum kit. Seems to be well built and should hold up very well.

I want to like this product, I really do. It offers more storage and flexibility than the Roland product that hasn't been updated in forever, so it seemed like a no-brainer purchase. The problem, as always, is Alesis' customer support (which is non-existent) and in this case, no ability to update the firmware and get the latest features. I have tried everything, watched every YouTube video, searched forums, and contacted Alesis directly with NO RESPONSE WHATSOEVER! I am a pro user and simply can't have gear in my rig that is not supported by the manufacturer. Try to update the firmware exactly as directed in the user manual and YouTube videos; nothing but a blank white screen on the unit so if there is no support from Alesis I will be returning mine.

I honestly felt Alesis drifted off the map, but they knocked this out of the park. This thing greatly improves in Roland and created the smoothest, most efficiently laid out monster of a machine that sounds AMAZING! All with midi, triggering, looping, and effects. Operation MINDBLOW ??

The quality of the build and the sound. The programming is so easy and flows. I do wish it had quantize as to sync with other devices and DAW's. I have now owned it for 6 months. It goes way beyond what I use it for. It meets more than my expectations. It really helps with my creativity. I use it for song writing & film scoring. This is a must-piece for any musician.

The best addition you can buy for any drum set. I own the alesis strike pro and this doubled my kit size. There is a bit if a learning curve to use fluently but that is what youtube and alesis.com are for. All in all great product, durable, and looks amazing! 10 out of 10 for sure Alesis nice job!!

This is a great multipad. It’s super versatile with a ton of sounds and expandability. It’s very user friendly and the learning curve is not steep at all. Once you get the basic features down you can be up and running in minutes. The looper function is great and makes it a lot of fun to play along with. I’d highly recommend this to any one looking for a multipad to add to their setup.

This is the first time I've used an electronic drum pad and i love it. There are a ton of different sounds to use and the built in looper is cool for making beats. The best thing in my opinion is being able to upload your own sounds into the strike pad. I have a lot of one hits, loops and samples that I have been able to play with on the strike pad. Once you start playing it's hard to put the sticks down!

I have had a great experience with this Multipad, was not sure between Alesis and Roland Multipad. I am so glad I picked Alesis, very user friendly. I originally bought this to replace a tablet that I used for samples in my band. Now after putting samples (which are so easy to import and adjust) into the Multipad, I use so many samples and percussion sounds. It's like having a million drum and percussion sounds into a small multipad...you would have to carry around 2 truck loads of percussion instruments to duplicate.

I've had a lot of fun with this since I bought it. I had a Yamaha DTX-Multi 12 that was great but the specs are pretty ancient these days. I had a Roland SPD-SX which had better specs but not enough built-in sounds. To me, this combines the best of what I liked about both and then expands on them. This is incredibly easy to use, from building your own kits, to using effects, to sampling directly into the pad, to adding samples from a computer, to connecting external pads and triggers. I would like to see an editor app someday but it's not something I absolutely need. It seems like Alesis is listening to the users because updates have enhanced the usability. So, at least it's improving the experience and not becoming outdated. I'm guessing this will remain the best out there for a while.

I purchased this unit because I perform live. The multipad is a nice unit for my trap set up, lightweight and visually pleasing, however it comes with a major flaw that I use more often live, it’s the inability to tune any of the sounds and samples quickly. If you have to tune anything in this unit, you would have to copy the sound and pitch it (without hearing the sound!) I don’t get why a function so basic like tuning on the fly is omitted from the parameters? So I just use my other sampler, pitch the sounds, then load them into the multipad.

Honestly this is great for the price. I dont have much space in my room to put a full on drum set and this worked out great. I was looking for something to play instruments and be able to record loops on 1 device, and this was it. Didnt take long to learn how to use it after watching youtube videos, but this is honestly worth the money!

The firmware has far too many bugs. Hi hat doesn't work well. External trigger settings don't save. Looper is extremely hard to use. This product needs an update. It's sad because the hardware seem very good, but the firmware is poorly done and unfinished.

The Alesis Strike Pad Multi is wonderful. I have been drumming for many, many years and have had several of the "other guys" multi sample pads but none comes close to the strike multi-pad. At this point the home run for me is the great feel of the pad/stick connection. The construction, options and flexibility will drive part two of my review, till then, I can't wait to get this thing on stage a second time!

After very light use, started having issues with no sound. Had to power unit off and on several times to get any sounds. Then not all pads work on all kits. For example on the Synth kit no sounds on the bottom 3 pads. On other kits all pads have extremely low volume. Also having issues when attempting to create a user kit. Making changes to pad 3 will change sounds created previously on pad 1. Very disappointed in unit.

The alesis Strike Multipad is a must have if you're a drummer of a studio rat like I am, I compared all of the pad devices out there in this same price range, the strike multiped hands down is ahead of the clase, 32Gb or storage, the ability to insert a 32Gb flash drive, FX, two samples per pad, supports loops, built-in sampler, common man what else can I say, just get one now.

I was just checking out new gear the day i came across the Alesis Strikepad. Already had the Roland Spds.
Watched videos and did my research.
Ordered the pad to try it out to see the differences. And they are night and day. Alesis really put some work into this!
Quality is there. And the feel of the pad is great.
If you are thinking about purchasing but you’re not quite sure. Contact AMS and do the payment plan to atleast get it in your hands and see if it works for you!
