I use this EMG pickup on my Macias Bajo Sexto. It does an awesome job of picking up all strings. It has a very clean sound with no hum. It reproduces the acoustic qualities of my instrument very well! I highly recommend this pickup for any acoustic guitar!

I installed a black EMG-ACS on my Fender Sanoran Acoustic guitar this past week. I took it to an open jam session last night. Numerous other musicians asked me about it because the sound that was coming out of my $350 guitar was that of a $3500 instrument. Crystal clear, sweet pure sound from each of the six strings. It's the sound I've been in "Relent Pursuit" of, if I may borrow a phrase. Very good product for the money.

What this does basically is turn your acoustic guitar into an electric. It has way too much gain, even if you take out all of the adjustable pole pieces completely, and has distorted through every conceivable combination of gear that I have and have played through. It's an awful disappointment, really. For this price, I had at least hoped to get clear sound. I really hope that I got a dud because otherwise this thing is just junk. Only reason I gave it two stars is that the installation was very simple and easy.
