LTD is not that far off of E-II level. The only thing I really don't like about this guitar is Kirk's signature Bone Breaker pickups. They have a "tinny" sound to them. I swapped them for an 81/60 set and and replaced the Floyd Rose 1000 for a Floyd Rose Original. This guitar was a keeper right off the bat for me. 100% recommend from me!

Don’t let the LTD fool you. This is a smooth playing guitar. Right out of the box the tombstone case is badass. Open the case, and the design and finish is fantastic as expected. That’s where I thought it would end. But I was very impressed at how the guitar played. Right out of the box, no setup, the neck played really smooth. It’s really thin profile and the wider radius fingerboard feels nice. It plays really fast and easy. And of course the sound with the EMG’s is great. Well worth a try. Plays above the LTD price tag. Even without a setup. Plus, looks really cool.

I have been wanting this guitar for several years and finally got my hands on one... and wow, I am so glad I picked this thing up. It sounds amazing and plays so smooth right out of the box. The EMG’s are insane and you can get it dialed in to get that KH sound but you can also get a lot of great tones out of this guitar. If you’re on the fence about it just jump in and order this you will not be let down! Very happy with the product and shipped very quickly. Extremely satisfied with this purchase and with AMS!!!

Guitar arrived on time,finish is impeccable but mine came with emg 81 pickups not emg bone breakers like product description. A quick call to ams and they are sending me the emg bone breakers. They are a stand up company

Arrived on time, great packaging, very impressed! Pictures do not do this guitar justice at all!!! Beautiful guitar! Excellent playability... took it in to have it set up and my tech looked at me as if I was crazy. Just had to be tweaked a little!! Very impressed!!!

Blown away by the graphics and the neck is a little bit smaller than my KH-2 & KH-3 but delivers great sound just like my ESP models. Tuned down a 1/2 step and just sounds beefy. Sorry to sound so cheesy but it's exceeded my expectations for it being an LTD model. Couldn't be happier

great guitar. looks cool & plays well. craftsmanship is top notch & is near the quality of guitars costing 3 times more. action very low, intonation good. unfortunately it has fret buzz at 1st fret on the 1st & 2nd strings. to resolve, I put a thin metal shim under the strings at the nut. guitar plays perfectly now. I'm disappointed that the guitar is made in Korea. the tombstone case looks cool but is not manufactured very well, lousy fit & finish. trim doesn't match or line-up. the vinyl tombstone graphic overlay has bubbles & lumps under the surface. The case handle feels weird & squishy, the case doesn't balance with the guitar inside.
overall quality was great. the instrument is made very well & it is nearly perfect. too bad the "set-up" was not completed properly prior to shipping (I had to fix that myself). the guitar shape, style & graphic theme somewhat pigeon-hole it for limited musical genres
Guitar feels a little heavier than expected & doesn't perfectly balance like most strat shaped bodies that I've played. no compliant though, I just probably need to get used to it. neck & fingerboard are fast & perfect. rosewood inlays are intricate & detailed. The volume control gets in the way sometimes & I find the volume goes down when I'm shredding because my pinky is rubbing on it.
Perfect! If you've ever played EMG's - these are the best of the best Fat, sensitive & amazing sustain. Floyd Rose trem system is Korean model FRT01000 & performs as expected.
perfect! artwork graphic is clear & sharp. flawless clear coat. no imperfections. be aware; the graphic has been modified for this guitar & it is not exactly like Kirk's original. some adjustments were made with character placements. this way, they don't have to paint the pickups.
equal or better to guitars in the same price range. good value for a limited edition signature series. probably should be cheaper since it's an import.
Action was not correct & had issues. The "set-up" was not properly completed or the instrument was not tested prior to shipping. right out of the box the guitar had fret buzz at 1st fret on the 1st & 2nd strings. This guitar plays alot like me kh 602 but nothing like my custom shop kh 2 it's great for a ltd tho. Wish it was a ntb. I love the killer white zombie graphic and the signature kirk hammett metallica tone it gives. The neck is thin and super fast.
Great quality just like all esp and higher end ltd. No buzz and perfect action. Holds tune forever.
The necks feels perfect. Guitar is light but not cheap light. It's perfect.
Has the signature metallica/ emg active tone. I wish kirk would do like james and make a signature pick up or start using het sets.
Paint is perfect as always. Esp has excellent qc. Any blemish and it becomes a 2nd or "b".
For the money I'm sure you could find a cheaper guitar with better specs but that's with any signature guitar. You are paying for the name but I love the zombie graphic.
Low action as always no buzz actually in tune out of box.
