I believe this is the very best Squier Jazz bass in the Squier product line. It’s an excellent value and if properly setup is absolutely a dream to play. I own Fender, Sire, and many other Jazz bass designs. This is my favorite! Check them out. AMS makes it easy to buy your gear.

Killer looks and sounds great too!
I did a lot of research online and decided to go with this due to the mostly posituve reviews. I'm glad I did and I would certainly recommend. Perfect neck, working trussrod accessable from the headstock and controls that actually do their job. The frets weren't as nice as my Road Worn Strat, but they are totally within acceptable condition. I have spent more before and been disappointed, but no disapointment here.
I cant imagine anyone finding a nicer Bass in this price range.

If you want a great looking bass this definitely is but I was not impressed with the tones I was getting out of it or it's playability. Strings seemed to be set to high off of the neck for starters. I didn't keep it too long and traded it in for something else.

This bass guitar is everything I ever wanted. I love the color , tone and feel of this bass. I play in a country band and I get good compliments on how good it sounds. I’m thinking of buying another one in a different color in the future.

The product I’ve made was the best choice to get myself once I received my package it was packed really protected and once and after I’ve open my package the bass looked so amazing I was impressed and the sound was amazing including strings & the pickups I’m glad I order with American music and started my payment plan with them it help me a lot on what I’ve been wanting.

Squire really out did them self on this guitar. Comparing the sound to a Fender Jazz Getty signature I couldn't tell the difference with the EQ set at the same position which as my backup bass it's great. The neck is smooth and fast.
The only thing is if your performing with sweat on the neck gets sticky but you'll get that from almost any polyurethane fender neck.

I know it's relatively inexpensive but you're better off paying a little more. This bass showed up with a broken tuning key. I talked to Fender Rep who said they never know who is making these and that the plants use basically whatever random parts they have laying around. So that's quality control. Why return when I know I'm going to upgrade. Let's put it this way - I ended up putting in fralin pickups, orange cap, standard brand of bridge and tuner and I'm still recording on a p bass I have. It is what it is.

I highly recommend this to the beginner that doesn’t want to start with something expensive but doesn’t want to go to the lowest of the low. This Squire sounds remotely close to one of a Fender Bass. And has such a rich sounds very full . I am beyond satisfied

The bass...it's pretty, it sounds like a jazz, and I was absolutely impressed with the sound quality at this price point, perfect for studio work, and if you have a decent pre amp, gigs are easy to play with it (I played a show, no set up...just ran it straight outta my rig)
The neck is a 70's vibe neck, and the frets were good. No horrible issues with the bass that I wound up keeping, for the videos, and so forth...all the reviews on youtube etc...well, watch them if you have any questions, as you'll find a couple run through a decent system so as to get the tone of these guys..you will have a jazz bass tone, at a third the cost is my final statement on the sound..and yes, they are sexy looking as hell...
My second part for your concerns about buying your axe through the mail...My first bass received from these guys was messed up BAD. Huge gash on it, saddles bent, and actually, must have been someone's attempt to get over...but, I contacted the returns dept in customer services, and they were AWESOME. They mulled over the photos I sent, made a discount offer, or a new replacement overnighted. The return was easy, the communication right on point. I was never left to worry, and a day after I got notification my bass was shipped, I was jamming my new lady...so, was the bass perfect the first try? NO...but, the way AMS handled my issue was. I am not usually inclined to leave reviews, but in this case, I hope my review helps a few (like me) that were skeptical to try this mail order music supply thing. It is what it is...cheaper, you can get payments with no credit check (if you are really a player, you know how AWESOME that is) and so long as you make good on your deals, I am certain that upgrade to your rig can REALLY happen.So, awesome bass...at the pricepoint even better than expected. Awesome folks that really care about your satisfaction with the instrument at the umm...warehouse??? (not sure. I reccommend you try this bass if you want a jazz, and if not try the company...it's a good buy either way.

Ok, I was not expecting this bass to be so great. This thing is SOLID! Straight out of the box this beauty was pretty much ready to play. Nice action, the intonation was almost perfect, and the frets were smooth. The stock electronics are good as well as the pickups. I did however change the p’ups out and threw in a set of dimarzio dp123 model J’s. She is now my main thumper. The finish is brilliant (I got the gloss black). I highly recommend if your looking for a “bang for you buck bass”. Squier definitely upped their game with the VM series. Not gonna lie, I bet this bass could compete with most MIM and some USA fenders! I’m very pleased with this purchase! Thanks AMS! ??

Honestly at first I was hesitant to buy a squier but boy did I make a great decision in buying the squier classic vibe 70s jazz bass! Amazing tone and quality, gives you the geddy lee tone for amazing and affordable price ! I highly recommend this bass guitar.
