Product Review First off, I love a 43mm nut, flat radius, and D-shaped neck profile. The Jackson JS11 and JS12 guitars have that, in a consistent 12" radius. I like the compact Dinky bodies, and the neck joint is simple, but stable, and somewhat low profile. The difference between the JS11 and JS12 is the fret count. 22 for the JS11, and 24 for the JS 12. JS11 feels more like a strat-style guitar, while the JS12 has the pickups closer together, and the bridge moved slightly forward in the body. I consider these to be "project" guitars. if you can do your own fret finishing and levelling, set your own bridge height and intonation, and do a little nut cleanup, they are wonderful for the money. I would plan to treat these guitars as hardtail bridges, as the string angle behind the nut, the nut design, and the bridge design, don't lend themselves to consistent return to pitch after trem use. just lower the trem baseplate flat against the body, tighten spring claw a bit, and forget about it. Once setup, these JS11 and JS12 guitars do play a lot like their Charvel DK22 and DK24 cousins, and hardtail Jackson Dinky and Soloist brothers and sisters. With some work, these can be excellent beginner guitars, but will require some work to get them set up and ready to use.

Product Review Bout for my son, pulled it out of the box before wrapping it just in case it needed any adjustments. It did not! Sounds great and my kid loves it.

Product Review Fast neck, clean frets, one rough spot between the 5th and 7th frets on the back of the neck . Easy refinish.

Product Review I Needed a beater guitar that I could play on the fly, as my main guitars stay in their cases between rehearsals and gigs. Having owned many guitars throughout my 20 years of playing, this has been one of those rare scores, having a 200 guitar play so well. I did upgrade the tuners with some wilkinsons, plus I dropped in some extra Ibanez Quantums with 5 way switching and this guitar is a beast.
