You will love the sound and the voices. It is hard to find any sound on this synth that does not make you want to create music. You can spend hours with just the combination sound sets alone. In addition, you have an old-school 808-style step sequencer, a pad sampler, a song sequencer, USB audio sound card for your DAW and those features are only the beginnings of the applications of this very portable, but very powerful wallet-friendly workstation. Best all-in-one under a grand!

I am impressed with this product. It's a lot of fun for the money. I think it sounds better and is more versatile than my VR-09. The keybed takes some getting used to, but it's acceptable at that price point. I bought this for my solo act and it's perfect. The workstation capabilities are awesome. The programming interface can be cumbersome - The Kross Editor app helps. I like this keyboard for the use it's going to get. I like that it's light weight and runs on batteries, plus it sounds really good! The Kross 2 is a keeper.

I have a 4pc Reggae cover band and throw in some pop, r&b covers as well. This keyboard helps me to cover all parts. I especially love the sequencer and the Favorites Menu. I need speed and accuracy finding my patches and the Kross delivers.

I’ve had this close to a month now. I wanted something to be able to scratch out ideas, just sit down and play, and do creative stuff with.
The sounds are pretty good. I use primarily synth, electric piano and organ sounds. The synth sounds and arps are pretty great out of the box. I like pretty dry e-piano and organ sounds. With a bit of tweaking those are quite good too. It’s easy to set favorites onto the pads, and this has enough physicals controllers for playing live. Especially for the organs - you can press a button to flip the Leslie on and then control the speed with the mod wheel. It’s lots of fun.
What’s less fun is the menus. If you just want to play, this thing is easy to learn. Just choose the category and sound. With just a bit of fiddling you can learn to save it to the favorites (of which there are many - 4 banks of 16 pads). So getting set up for a gig with the default sounds is pretty easy. editing the sounds and using the sequencer, on the other hand, requires really studying the menus, lots of page button presses, and deciphering the manual. I haven’t even gotten all that deep, but even turning off a reverb is like 15 pages in. The sequencer works but is not super intuitive.
On the right side of the board, I was able to figure out the sampler, step sequencer and favorites without too much trouble. They work great. The sampler especially is really fun to use for looping of shots.
One big travesty is that you can’t record samples to beats and measures — only time. You can truncate a sample to get it wonky sounds like it will loop correctly, but if you try to sync it to the drum step sequencer or arp it will drift. It’s really too bad, because that would have been a killer feature that would have turned this into a more powerful tool.
There are ways to take the sample pad sounds and then turn them into a program (e.g. so you can play then in the sequencer), but not like a typical sampler where it will pitch the sample across the keyboard. It just maps the 16 samples in a bank to 16 keys on a keyboard. Useful, but it would be nice to be able to map it across the board.
One big benefit is that the thing is really light. For this price, I’ll deal with the faults. It’s a great performance keyboard and the sampler/step sequencer provide for a lot of fun and inspiration, I wish Korg would keep this form factor but add in the looping functions and make the menus a bit easier to navigate.

I’ve had this keyboard for several months and I’ve used it in the studio, church, and even on stages it is a powerhouse keyboard and workstation. I’ve used the sequence mode to record multi tracks and create songs/ideas for different artists. The dishes are incredible Korg did not disappoint with this keyboard.
It’s lightweight and compact so it’s easy to transport.
Get a Korg Kross 2 today!! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

I’ve owned Yamaha synthesizers since I been doing music and am very used to the ease of navigation and full sounds. This is my first Korg and honestly I’ve worked with friends that used the triton Korgs Flagship keyboard. I’m still learning how to navigate the Korg but so far I think it’s pretty solid for the money. Will be able to give a better review with more time on the unit.

So...I remember when I was 14 years old, my voice changed and it discouraged me to sing going forward. But I’ve been so connected to music all my life and knew that I couldn’t not sing anymore and leave it at that. I wanted to learn how to produce, engineer, mix; the behind the scenes stuff, and maybe I’d grow into whatever my new voice would be. Before teaching myself how to make beats and build music. I had no idea that MIDI controllers existed till I was about 16/17. Always saw my influencers use keyboards and drum machines. Never used real keyboard to be able to use in making my tracks, got my first MIDI when I was 17. Never ever had my own synthesizer/keyboard of choice. Always told myself I’d get the one I wanted one day and my purchase with AMS was the one. I love Korg products and their sound, and I came across a used Korg Kross 1 and fell in love. Didn’t know how I would get one but knew I wanted one. Well a fellow colleague told me about AMS and the ability to make payments on gear and I couldn’t believe it till I saw it my self! I immediately thought to myself, this is my chance!!! I could really have my first personal keyboard/synth to myself. And it happened! I’ve been head over heels with the new and recent purchase of my Korg Kross 2 61 Key! I LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!! Every sound has a feel that I’ve been waiting to experience and incorporate in my music and I’ve been using it non-stop! I can really expand and broaden my sound with this product. I’ve told so many people about it and exposed them to AMS! I’m so happy I finally, after all these years at age 24, have my alpha keyboard and so thankful for the opportunity that AMS has given me to get it! So blessed! I will be using this in all of my music from now on! THANK YOU AMS!

I was looking for an easily transportable, good looking keyboard with a bunch of classic sounds with a user friendly interface. I found all that in this keyboard. The fact that it has a battery powered option for times when you want to jam or hash out ideas just about anywhere is extremely convenient. The samples and sound quality is very good at this price point and the build is very solid despite its light weight. The nonslip texture is also great. The neon blue is a nice touch and gets lots of compliments. Bottom line, it gets the job done and helps making music much funner and easier. I've had the Korg Kross for 6 months now and have no complaints so far.

Korg has yet to do me wrong. High quality sounds in a beautiful chassis. (I got the white one) It's not cheap, but for a shade under $800 this is a great workstation! Not only the great sound, but a sampler, sequencer, AND you can record tracks all on this keyboard! Everything you need with all the inputs/outputs you need and even a vocoder. I use mine seamlessly with my multitrack and MPC and I'm so glad I chose this piece, and I'm not getting paid for this, haha. I just like it that much.

The keyboard has some great features but it also lacks others specially for the price. The good: The size and the weight; it is such a light keyboard, the keyboard action is good, the onboard sampler, it’s easy to use and assigning one shots or loops to the pads it’s easy and straight forward, the feature I like the most is the ability to record an audio file to an SD card so I pretty much use it as a notepad for ideas? This is done very easy and it will also record from the audio inputs. It has a decent amount of sounds. And you can split n layer sounds easily The bad: The acoustic pianos are weak to my taste compared to other keyboards incl low end Yamaha models, (I’ve heard PSRs with better pianos) also the FX are lacking, you can use either reverb or delay not both and neither has quality I wouldn’t use it on a real recording, I’d did manage to make the piano sound ok with reverb but I wouldn’t use this keyboard on a real recording, I use it to sketch ideas while traveling.

So I got this board specifically for my love for Korg and the powerful punch it delivers while being so so compact! I have found the perfect fit to be my 2nd next to my Kronos on stage! The sounds are rich and full...Favorites function is very similar to the set list on Kronos so on stage, a gig will be a breeze! You won’t go wrong with this purchase! It’s worth it on so many levels!

KORG is unparalleled in its quality. This keyboard has many of the same or similar patches as THE KROME and Triton and super lightweight for gigs!!!These patches are too rate and I use them for film and jingle composition work .I have a PHD in composition and I can use this keyboard for any stylistic or textural requirements. I simply can't recommend it more

Vocoder only allows use of 1/4 plug.
Some sounds are a bit cheap... yet there are some sounds that sound really good.
Two knobs control just about all effects and adjustments.
You have to select the adjustments you want by pushing a button then the two knobs work in that category so on the fly adjustments are a bit tricky.
Getting into deep settings are a bit cryptic and take some time to master.
The synth sounds and adjustments are ok... Good enough to play out with.
Favorites has 8 banks of 16 programs each.... Plenty...
One of the best features is that the USB not only is used for editing programs on your computer but it also sends sound so you can use your favorite recording program without having to use a USB interface.
All in all.... Not a bad little unit..
If you are looking to do deep synth with adjustments on the fly while you play I'd suggest you get a flat out synth.... but this can handle both keyboard/workstation and synth features good enough to gig with.

I got to admit this unit has a few things that others in this price range don't have. USB recording to a computer, 16 timbre layers. 16 track sequencer with lots of features..... BUT.... some of the sounds are kinda cheap and sw1 amd sw2 function wheels are set up above the keyboard instead of having a joystick just to the left of the keyboard.... all in all, not a bad keyboard. Def gig friendly.. 8 banks of favorites with 16 slots in each bank... yea, I may be picking on this little keyboard but I think for the money the sound samples should have been a little better.
