This I could tell you. I have every microphone that you could imagine from U87 to a AKG C12 to mention a few but this Manley is the only mic i have found that is universal and what I mean with that is it works well with everything I throw at it. From vocals to guitar, strings , brass to percussion and I found that there’s really nothing I can thrown at it that it that has not produced an incredible sound and print in all my recordings. I don’t recommend this to professionals to even beginners that have the budget to buy it. This is an incredible Mic and trust me you won’t regret it.

I have recorded in most of the really big studios in Nashville, TN. having many hit songs. This was always one of my all time mics before the new June 2020 switching power supply. This new high power supply made more musical details. It was a huge improvement on a mic I already loved before the new Manley update. It was also pretty convenient having the -10 db switch on front for a perfect boost when needed. The mic is a home run and a must have if you truly demand musical details most mics twice this price might bring out. I have only had this mic less than a week and I already have spent almost every awaken hour with this masterpiece. I honestly cannot find one thing to complain about. P.S. With this covid-19 everything is moving slower than usual as expected. However, AMS shipped to my door as always on time. Now the packaging, OMG, Manley lined the shipping box in thick foam and in a military style solid first class case. I am a very satisfied customer!

I think my title says it all. After over 20 years trying to finally get THE sound and was scared to buy a mic at this price point...I've finally arrived. This mic is sweet at the top and round at the bottom with no mud in the middle. Like they said, just add talent. Pitch is spot on to what you hear in your headphones and I had to stop recording to just look at it and say HO LY $h@t!!! Any other mic I buy is just to add to my mic locker.. no other NEEDED mics at this time.. Would love a M49 but this covers forever. Might get a second one for backup.. And its the most gorgeous mic EVER!!! It will inspire you.

I recently moved into a studio with phenomenal equipment SSL pre, eq, and comp. And the previous mic was a tlm103 that sounded amazing. We decided to upgrade the mic (the manley came in within 2 days of us ordering it) and that same day the SSL completely stopped working :( but even without the ssl this mic sounds cleaner and crisper than what we had. It’s a cheat code! I look forward to mixing records down with such clean audio. Definitely prefer it over a u87!

I fell in love with the sound of this mic, the first time I heard it last year & I knew I had to get my hands on it. It’s an investment that is well worth it!
I have it running through a BAE 1073 MPF to an Apollo & the outcome is amazing!
Once you hear it for yourself, you won’t be able to live without it.

I'm not going to lie I was a little hesitant in getting this microphone due to the price but when I tell you this microphone sounds warm and the high end is nice & crisp, I mean it!
