The perforated surface allows for a wide variety of equipment to be mounted and changed as needed. Very versatile in my guitar rig rack and my portable PA rack. I have had this shelf for a couple of months and have used it in seven different configurations. Others have commented on it and I recommend it highly. This tool is exactly what I wanted.

When I bought my first of these everything worked out perfectly. Looked great, did exactly what I needed, price was right, and took less than 3 min to install. Went so well I ordered another. Guess the QC didn't check the screws or something, because this time I could not for the life of me get it to properly screw in. Tool 15 min and the screws still aren't flush but I didn't want to strip out another 4 screws and holes. I'd still recommend for the price

I recently purchased this rack tray to mount my half space in ear monitor receiver and it works perfectly. Solid metal construction and has tons of slits to accommodate virtually any screw pattern the underside of your gear may have. Nice knowing my gear is kept securely in place, inside my rack when touring on the road!

I racked my brain with how I was going to be able to support and house my audio interface inside of its rolling rack case. Then it was like the waters parted, the frog cleared, and the light shone down from the clouds upon this life changing device of multiple uses. I thought for a second “this thing supports my audio interface so well with its sturdy rugged steel chassis, so why stop there?” I asked myself, “what about a stack of guitar capos? YES! What about a tin full of animal crackers? YES? What about a set of car keys, or even a litter of puppies???YES!” This flat metal surface has all of the same properties as most things that are flat, elevated, and have a rugged sturdy surface. It was so flat and so sturdy I decided to run it through more rigorous tests- I set my waffle maker on top of it and what do you know? BAM! Mega waffles! If you’re in doubt about things that are flat surfacey and rack mountable then wait no more. It’s a life changer.

Your rack is amazing and all you need to make it better is a tray. You can put things on the tray like little synth toys or cables or that flashlight or your smokes for your smoke free studio or a cassette player or that thing that comes with rack ears but really only takes up about a fourth of a rack space or... you get the idea. This thing is handy. You'll wonder how you ever could live without it. It changes your workflow. It changes your laundry. It changes who you are when you go home at night and now you've found the kind of bliss that you've been looking for all along.

well made with a flat back finish...tour ready.
tough construction such that you can hold almost any piece of equipment on the shelf with confidence.
Installation is as easy as turning in 4 screws in to the cases rack rails.
n/a since its a rack piece and has no bearing on the quality of the sound
