I combine this microphone with a beta 52 and a Yamaha subkick. This mic in particular does a great job of getting the click of the beater and the tone of the kick drum itself. I use the beta 52 for the warmth of the drum and the subkick to get the super low end punch. Without this microphone my kick sound would surely be lacking!

Gave this a try and was blown away. If you are looking for a mic that truly represents the sound of your instrument then look no further. Combined with the Kelly Concepts kick mount it also makes for position stability and quick setup/ tear down.

Use it in my Kick drum and it sounded 100 times better then just my D6. They also sound great together, giving it that nice metal click sound most metal guys love.

Makes my bass drum thump nicely. Very flat - I absolutely love it. The right head is important in addition to tuning.
