Because the antennas are built into the receiver itself there is no chance of them being damaged in the process of setting up or breaking down on a gig, which is when things can go wrong. Just plug receiver into the board with a quarter inch cable, sync the mic's battery pack with the receiver and you are ready to go.
I used this mic already on two loud gigs (DJ gigs) while playing trumpet with a percussionist; the mic made me sound the best I've sounded on these types of gigs.
It also gave me the ability to move around the dance floor easily.
