Product Rating Product Review I was looking for the perfect keybed. I had developed hand issues, but I still wanted to have full-sized keys that weren't too heavy. I tried the Nord 6D, but it was too spring for my taste. I also tried the Yamaha CP73 (too heavy for me), the Roland VR730 (too springy). I also tried the Yamaha MODX7, and I really wanted to like the keys but couldn't get over the strange sizing and the rigid feel. Finally, I ordered the Vox and immediately fell in love with the feel. I was really concerned I would not be able to find anything outside of full weighted keys that felt right where I could express my playing without it feeling awkward. Beyond the feel, I like the instruments (especially the Rhodes) and the ease of blending layers and independently controlling the volumes. The size and weight are perfect for travel.

Product Review I recently purchased the Vox Continental for my daughter's band so that they could have a professional touring keyboard. It has exceeded expectations. On the evening of the first performance using the Vox Continental 73, both her musicians and other musicians attending the event were greatly impressed. They loved the realism of the piano sounds as well as the warmth and funkiness of the organs and electric piano sounds. It's lightweight. Yet it appears solidly constructed. Since it was a small venue the keyboard was coupled with a Vox VX K50 amp. The amp helped in expressing the wonderful warm tones available in the many voices readily available at the touch of a finger!

Product Review The new VOX continental is a great stage keyboard for live performance, especially for a classic rock band. It has the sounds AND the look. I found most all of the voices to be very usable from the pianos to the synth settings with the possible exception of the tonewheel organ voices. Those sounds on the VOX are derived from a clone of a clone (the Korg CX3) and to my ear didn't quite measure up to some of the competition. All things considered, it's a worthy addition to the class, sturdy without being too heavy and when properly attached to the supplied stand is nearly immovable. The electrostatic drawbars are spectacular. Nostalgia from a slightly different direction for those so inclined.
