Subject:Great modeling amp speaker
Quality: Construction is top notch; 12A's have really heavy magnets so casters are a must on cabinets or amp. Definately do not want to be carrying them up stairs without a dolly or help.
Sound: The tone is "not flavored" or "colored", the sound you hear is your amp, guitar and effects. The 12A's or Pro 12A's love overdrive, I did need to lower the gain but they rock.
Reliability: The Delta 12A's are new but broke in so I cannot rate them but my Pro 12A's are going on 2 years of clssic and "suthern fried" rock without a hitch. Again they have a 7 year wty. but are built like a tank so not gonna worry, probably outlast the amp.
Overall: I play a Fender Cyber Twin SE and use cast Delta Pro 12A's in 1x12 extension cabinets because they do not color the tone. The Delta Pro diameter will not fit inside the amp but Eminence stated the Delta 12A spec'd the same but was a smaller diameter. Problem solved and with a 400 watt rating/7 year wty--not worried!
Playability and Feel: Emi quite making the Modeling 12 speakers but these are a great replacements. Actually Delta Pro 12A's and Delta 12's are high end audio speakers but are true sleepers for guitar amps. They are used extensively by custom amp cabinets builders.
Tone: Full range, just right.
Finish: Look great, play great.
Action: Takes some time for break in, be patient. The 12A's finally loosened up in the middle of jam session and if I was 40 years younger the tone would have been compared to xxxx!
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
