I had to buy a rack tray and velcro so I could add it to my rack. Also no external antennas. So it might affect the distance. They sound different than my Shures. Less feedback for sure. One other thing I didn’t like was that it seems they might break if they fall enough times. If you plan to have them outside a rack and hold on to them and not drop them, then I would recommend them.

We're staunch Sennheiser fans---granted, we've never ventured to the XSW line but figured it wouldn't be too far off from the other units we have. We should've heeded another reviewer's take before making the purchase.
This system is chalk full of issues that we have yet to fix. Sadly, our cleaning crew threw out the packaging so we're SOL on returning this unit for a better quality Sennheiser quality.
Word of advice, stay away from this model. We now are stuck with a worthless microphone system we can't use.

I have used many wireless systems in the 30 plus years of being a mobile DJ and have had many of those systems be subpar. The old saying “You get what you pay for” couldn’t be more true when it comes the quality equipment. It’s a little embarrassing to have a microphone drop out in the middle of a toast or the Best Man speech! This Sennheiser system is just AWESOME! It’s super simple to use and the sound is couldn’t be better, but most importantly…NO DROPOUTS!!! I have used this system every weekend since I purchased them, and they have been rock solid! The bonus Gator microphone bag was a really nice bonus to this system as well, it fits perfectly! Thank you AMS, you guys ROCK!

This double mic system is a great sounding way to have a quick easy set up with portability. The carry bag is perfect to get it on site fully protected without a heavy road case. I have two sets that I combine with two Roland BA330 battery speakers and I can set up in public in a few minutes with full sound. I just plug these mic receivers into a inverter battery pack and wow instant concert with a full PA. Love their clear professional sound. Give them 5 stars.

I've used several brand of mics. & will attest to the fact they will stand along with the majority in performance and, yes, good clear quality sound! Our daughters (Fruit Of The Spirit) a Gospel Singing group; The Magnificent K-Brothers (my brother's and I); and my wife and I(B&J) who also sing gospel music, all have used both cord and cordless mics for more than 2 decades. I, and the groups have been very satisfied with there services. And will 'very strongly' recommend Sennheiser for their longevity, quality, and look& handling. Also I commend AMS (American Musical Supply) for making it possibly and available to be able to purchase quality equipment reasonable and convenient with the services they offer, and make available. I have used there service almost a decade, and have been very please! I strong recommend "Them"!

Was a little worried about the lack of external antennas, since our board is as far away from where these mics will be used as possible, but they work fine without dropouts! Much lighter than our other Sennheisers, due to plastic bodies versus metal, but that's not a complaint. Easier to use power button, but I don't like the fact that the battery cover shell comes completely off (the metal ones don't), making it a little more time-consuming to put batteries in & out. Lack of much of a proximity effect may or may not be a factor, just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, I would highly recommend these for regular use. Nice to have two mics with only one receiver (they still use different channels).
