While these may not be the top-of-the-line mics for their intended purpose, they perform like pros and absolutely out-do themselves in this price range. The added accessories and hard shell case make this a bargain you cannot pass up. Tascam is a reputable company with excellent products and these microphones are no exception. Do yourself a favor and buy these asap.

You can't beat these for the great price and all the extras you get including the case. I'm using them for XY on acoustic guitar, drum overheads, etc. I was honestly suprised at the sound I got out of these! If you are looking for a pair of budget mics, you won't be disappointed with these. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the pad and rolloff buttons feel really cheesy and loose, but they do function.

I use as overheads in my home studio in a 4 mic Glyn Johns setup, and it is all that I'm looking for.
Crisp, clear and responsive.
Are there better mics? Sure, but at this price there is a Big Bang for the buck.

These are great microphones, especially for the price. However, my first pair arrived with one sounding bright and clean, and the other sounding muddy. Sadly, quality control seems to have slipped at Tascam. I do want to acknowledge that AMS made the return extremely easy. The second pair arrived just 2 days after I dropped off the first pair at UPS, and they are closely matched and sound fine. This mic package includes pop screens and mounting hardware; you cannot beat this for the price.

Good quality, good sound, amazingly clean and open, even on acoustic guitars (nylon and steel str), percussion (congas) and even voice. Really a crazy deal and another tool to have in your studio, even next to my expensive mics.

As yet, I have only used them once to test them out, so I can't attest to how long they will last. I ran into a Boss BR-1200, one for vocal, one for my mandolin, worked great.

I was impressed with the quality of the accessories (case, clip, pop filter and windscreen) before I even ran the sound test. Pleasantly surprised by the performance of these mics. They sound much better than their price would lead you to believe. Good feedback rejection, very flat response, no shrill in the highs, very tight pattern. A little soft in the bass, but to be expected in a small diaphragm. Overall, a tremendous value.
