Crate FW120H & FW412A Half Stack Guitar Amplifier

Dig if you will the awesome FlexWave120H head. If sheer volume combined with tone so outstanding it should be declared illegal is the action you crave, and then put the FlexWave120H at the top of your shopping list. Producing 120 watts of savage power while sporting three channels and built in effects, it’s the perfect head for the gigging maniac. We guess you could use it in your bedroom too if you didn’t mind re-plastering the walls every week.

The FlexWave120H’s FlexWave Evolution 5 preamp uses the patented Sequential Channel Tracking technology, for a tone with so much balls, it needs a jockstrap! Variable 3-channel operation allows you to switch between twangadelic clean, hot-as-freaking-heck overdrive and tortured high gain channels via the remote footswitch that is lovingly packed with each and every unit. With 18 stereo DSP effects, Channel Tracking of effects settings, and the proprietary Shape Control circuit for sculpting wicked custom leads, it’s statistically impossible to dial up a lame sound. We highly recommend the Crate FW412A 4x12 cabinet for projecting the bold power of the FlexWave120H head into the skulls of your rapt listening public.

All About Crate Amps
Since our first piece of ready-for-the-trenches gear, we've made innovation the norm and the player our priority. Now, with that same youthful grit and aggressive approach to sound, Crate directs the future of the industry.

As avid guitar players themselves, Crate engineers build the gear they want to use. And as crafters of tone, they're naturally good listeners—not only to the purity of sound, but also to the insight of their fellow musicians, whose immeasurable experience is a driving force behind every piece of Crate gear.

Our musician-first philosophy produces innovative, versatile amps appreciated by players and industry critics alike, and since our first piece of gear we’ve infused that unmistakable Crate style. Nearly 35 years ago, traditional amp builders had staked their claim to legions of players satisfied with amp technologies that'd been around for 20+ years. While our monolithic competitors rested on their laurels, Crate made innovation the norm with stripped down, ready-for-the-trenches designs. The solid pine box, ammo can handle, and metal reinforcements of our near-indestructible first models would be a sign of greatness to come. And with our patented FlexWave technology as the springboard to our success, even the most discriminating musicians came to feel the vibe.

With that same youthful grit and aggressive approach to sound, Crate now directs the future of the industry. Our engineers lead the pack with the implementation of digital effects technologies, and our product line continues to evolve ahead of the cusp. It's an ongoing testament to the passion of employees who make great sounding music their livelihood, their hobby, and their way of life.

Crate your own sound... with Crate.

Subject:Nice Stack - But BEWARE of MP3 Input
Quality: Excellent quality of build. However, what I did not find out until I purchased it was that the MP3 Input is MIXED into the EFFECt LOOP and therefore you do not have a clean MP3 signal to jam to if you want to use effects in the loop!
Reliability: Worked fine while I had it.
Overall: It's a nice stack but if you are looking for MP3 and Effect Loop capability, you'll be disappointed because of the MP3 mising with the Effect Loop. The manual states the MP3 goes to the Power Amp but the block diagram - and CRATE SUPPORT - indicate it is mixed with the Effects Loop.
Playability and Feel: Easy to use and sounds nice.
Tone: Sounded good the few times I used it.
Finish: Excellent!
Action: Not applicable

Quality: This is a good amp, it has enough volume to cut right through the drums and you can feel what your playing. All of the knobs are laid out very simple like it should be.
Reliability: I just got the amp, but all my amps last a long time.
Overall: I really like it and look forward to writing a lot of music with it.
Playability and Feel: This amp can do whatever you want it to do, and since I play death metal it gives me the perfect sound. This amp has a lot of low end so be careful. So I guess it plays heavy.
