DigiTech Metal Master Distortion PedalThe DigiTech Metal Master has arrived - head-bangers rejoice! The Metal Master Distortion pedal is a full-featured pedal that delivers DigiTech’s exclusive multi-distortion technology, offering users seemingly endless distortion types that can be morphed into a variety of combinations. There’s also a normal signal out and an output for cabinet modeling, for use live, or in the studio. Every day more and more players switch to X-Series™ stompboxes. Perhaps it’s because they are so versatile; it may be because they’re the most powerful stomboxes in the world, or maybe it’s just because they sound great! Whatever the reason, Korn, Stone Sour, Nickleback, Disturbed and many other top bands are all making the switch.
The DigiTech Metal Master is the world’s most advanced heavy metal distortion pedal. DigiTech’s exclusive AudioDNA™ technology is what makes the Metal Master more than your standard distortion stompbox. Rather than working from a single distortion type circuit with tone controls, the Metal Master features a Voice knob which morphs between three totally different metal distortion types. This gives you a wide variety of different metal distortion sounds that can be dialed in quickly and easily.

| I ordered the B stock and you can't even tell anything is wrong with it. | | Sound:
| Broad Range spectrum on the tones using the Morphing knob. Pretty much everything you could need. | | Reliability:

| It is a digitech, solid and well constructed. Battery changes are also easy, although power supply might help you putting it in a permanent place. | | Reliability:
| It is very reliable as its switch is very sturdy and response is quick. | | Overall:
| I have almost any distortion pedal out there (always looking for the perfect distortion as a hobby). Compared to Boss DS-1, OD-20, Distortion Factory, Behringers, Yngwie, Boss Metal Core, Many overdrives, Zoom 510, Jeckyl and Hyde, etc. This is a heavy distortion pedal, low noise (even at full gain) and the Morph dial can get you from Metal Zone to Modern Metal Sounds. This is one of my favorite pedals. I use it in front of my JSX in the clean channel and it is deliciously nasty. | | Playability and Feel:
| If you like to play like a real Macho Man, this is the pedal in its category. | | Tone:
| You can get from Metal Zone to Big Muff or Mesa Sound. I like it a lot. This is not a light weight distortion pedal. If you like light weights, get the Jeckyl and Hyde which is my second favorite. | | Finish:
| Black well constructed and durable. | | Action:
| Quick response and from a clean sound to nasty metal in a breeze. | | Skill Level:

| I love the way this pedal is built... It feels like my Cry Baby; heavy, and well designed. | | Reliability:
| Great! I've had it for about 2 years now and it's survived all the mayhem that I can throw at it. | | Overall:
| Love it!!! If my Master were to break today, I'd have no problem running out and getting another... It's that awesome! My sound couldn't exist without it. | | Playability and Feel:
| I'm not sure what to say... It feels like I'm expanding the room when I kick it on. When the dust settles you can see the smirk on my face. | | Tone:
| I can get anything out of this box! I play progressive rock professionally, but mostly metal in my free time. It has no problem matching Killswitch, Bullet for My Valentine, and so many others I love to play! The lower end of the "X" channel is perfect for sounds like: Alice In Chains, Live, STP, Soundgarden, etc... | | Finish:
| Black.... is there a better finish??? | | Action:
| Smooth, no clicking or sticking like some "other" pedals I've used. | | Skill Level:
