| This is a well built guitar. I am confident that this will withstand the test of time as usual with all Fender guitars. Dependability wise it's given me no problems at all. It's my main axe at the moment. |
| Sound:
| Sounds like heaven. I can dial in anything from blues to rock to country and they all sound great. I like to play Buddy Holly songs with this one. |
| Reliability:
| I've only had this guitar for a short time. But then again it's a Stratocaster and can withstand a substantial amount of abuse. |
| Overall:
| Yet another superior instrument from Fender. It looks like a Stratocaster made from the late 50s. Sounds like one too. |
| Playability and Feel:
| I'm more used to 60s style C shaped necks but it didn't take long to get used to the V neck. If you have huge hands I could see where it could be a bit uncomfortable. |
| Tone:
| The tone is to die for. Nuff said. This guitar recreates that classic Strat tone. Of course if your looking to play heavy metal, you should look at a different guitar. |
| Finish:
| I got mine in two tone sunburst and it looks absolutley stunning. People ooh and ahhh when I show it to them. |
| Action:
| The action was kind of high out of the box but a few adjustments and it plays really well. |

| Had it a few months now and haven't found any problems. These American Vintages are definitely given some extra love by the folks at fender. |
| Reliability:
| Not long enough to tell yet but i hope this thing lasts forever |
| Overall:
| Now my favorite guitar. This thing is perfect in every way for vintage tone and it just begs to be played constantly. Great as my second strat option too. Very different from the Am Std but in a good way. I don't need two guitars that are exactly the same so this one is the perfect change of pace. |
| Playability and Feel:
| Nice and light, very resonant body. And the neck, oh man, what a great neck. The soft v is perfect and even though i wasn't sure about the small radius when originally looking at this guitar, i have since changed my mind on the 7.25. |
| Tone:
| Great bright, clear tone with sustain to spare. Awesome 50's sound from the PU's |
| Finish:
| Love the thin nitro finish, definitely doesn't muddy up or hold the guitar back like a thick poly can. Couldn't resist buying an '08 Am Std just to get a newer sound with a nitro finish. Can't go wrong with the Surf Green either. |
| Action:
| The action was a bit higher than i was used to but i found out it is usually this way with the smaller radius and now i use the factory setup as my standard for this guitar without any problems. Intonation was spot on out of the box as well |
