QUALITY: Heavy, solid; MDF with thin black covering. Everything is tight and solid. Really weigh nearly 35 lbs each.
FEATURES: The switches allow for varied use and for varied environments.
EASE OF USE: ... you already know-- they're powered monitors with 1/4" balanced and XLR inputs.
VALUE: Er... I would never look to spend more (on anything, ever), but I am extremely impressed with the value comared to other options. It seems that people looking for monitors should be willing to pay more than retail for these. Mine went for about $250 used.
SOUND: Overall range of sound in my preferred styles of music is quite excellent-- light stuff, in general without a lot of bass.

SOUND: These speakers sound like a million bucks. Before buying them, I was looking at the mackies HR824. I desided on these because they sound just as good and were a lot less.

QUALITY: Behringer shows how much they care by using a heavy cardboard box within a cardboard box in their factory packaging. They look great, feel very solid and I would hope that, within a studio environment of course, they would last a lifetime.
FEATURES: Just check out the rear of the 2031A's for features. These type of features (i.e. XLR Balanced, 1/4" unbal., off/auto/on, Low Freq. 0 -2 -4 -8Db, Room Compensation 0 -2 -4 -8Db, High Freq 0 +2 -2 -4Db, Mute Low, Mute High) were, up to now, only found on the higher-end stuff (like Mackie 824's @$899.00 List a piece!).
EASE OF USE: I went with the recommendations of Paul White (Sound On Sound Publications) in backing off the high freq. -2 but I kept the low freq. at "typical" because I tend to mix bass too hot and this helps remind me NOT to.
VALUE: Again, Behringer embarrasses the rest of the highend world by showing that you do not have to charge $700.00+ to own a
