Non-fatiguing, Wide Sweet Spot
While some competitor’s studio monitors have a highly focused sweet spot (the optimal listening position for a pair of loudspeakers), Behringer's wave-guide is designed to create a much more generous, broader listening zone. That means you won’t wear a hole in the carpet in that one spot where everything sounds great.

You are free to move around inside the stereo image to find the ideal spot in the mix for subtle instrument or effects placement opportunities. You also won’t suffer the ravages of monitor fatigue-syndrome, an ailment that comes from listening to harsh high mids and treble content for hours on end. The 2 inch velocity ribbon transducer, along with Behringer's proprietary wave-guide design, generates silky-smooth high-end that is non-fatiguing, even during those all-night mix-down sessions that can test your nerves.

Hearing is Believing
We could bore you to tears with all the technical jargon (if you really like that stuff, there’s a special treat at the end), but hearing the TRUTH will make you a believer. From the bulletproof bass of its Kevlar woofer to the silky top-end of its ribbon transducer, we think you’ll agree that nothing in this class outperforms the B3031A monitors. Compare them to the competition and own BEHRINGER!

Behringer's acoustic engineers have worked hard on improving the TRUTH B2031A which has become industry standard. They insisted on using the best materials and technology such as ultra-high resolution, 2 Inch velocity ribbon transducers, long-throw woofers with Kevlar cones and deformation-resistant aluminum die-cast chassis.

Behringer's engineers also integrated 225-Watt bi-amped technology so the B3031A could boast enormous power reserves when driven hard. To guarantee an ultra-linear frequency response, each monitor is hand-aligned and comes with an individual frequency diagram.

Ease of Use
So glad I went with these monitors
Your general opinion of this product.
I can be pretty picky about sound quality sometimes. I knew going into my studio build I would need to make a large investment in my monitors for recording. I've had great luck with Behringer products in the past and I wasn't let down here either. The output on these is simply amazing! It maybe even on the edge of overkill they crank it out so much.
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The cabinets are well crafted. The finish was nice with zero defects. I set them up next to my pc monitor to test the shielding and they do a good job not messing up my screen. The built in amp seems to work very well. It dosen't sound like it's straining to push these speakers and when you don't have audio playing you don't hear any hiss or noise.
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Having a built in amp makes this a breeze to set up. Plug in your power and an audio cable and you're off and running in literally seconds.
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Ribbon tweeters do a really good job of reproducing highs and you can definitely hear a difference. Its adds a lot to the stereo separation. Well worth the price difference in my opinion. The auto on\off didn't work very well for me though. It was supposed to turn on when a signal was detected and go into stand by after no activity. Mine simply didn't turn themselves on.
How is the tone?
The highs are crisp and stand out well but what really impressed me was the bass response. I can actually hear the 50-80 hz range when I used the tone generator in Pro Tools. In cheaper monitors I've heard a lot of mud here but these do a great job of keeping it clean and tight. I did have issues with bass build up in the corners of my room with these. I imagine in very small rooms this could be worse.
How has it stood up over time?
I've been running these monitors in my studio for about 6 months now and have had no issues with their reliability.
