This is a special edition Jazz featuring a bound basswood body with a unique carved top, a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and matching painted headstock. The Aerodyne Jazz Bass is loaded with a Precision/Jazz pickup combination and rear routed/top mounted control with no pickguard.

I love the black finish, matching headstock, and smoked chrome hardware. The gentle curve on the bridge makes me want to try playing it with a bow. (Not sure if it's enough of a curve, only one way to find out!)
Feel
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It's very comfortable and easy to play.
Tone
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
Tone is very nice.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Perfect.

Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
This is definitely worth the money.
Playability
How was the action out of the box?
The only setup I had to do was to flatten out the p-style pickups. The bridge is only slightly curved so there's no need to have them up at angles.
