A real performer's bass
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The quality is pretty good. However, the strat style jack came loose after a while and I had to tighten it down. After that tweak, no problems at all.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
The P bass Pick ups and the J Bass Bridge pickups gives you the variety of tone combinations one wants in a good performance bass. The Jazz neck allows for fast playing.
Sound
How is its Tone?
OH that's why I got this bass, the comb p and J bass pickups are great. You get a choice of tones.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The bass is really nice and light great for those long sets and the neck is the right size for players with smaller hands as well. The controls could be tweaked a bit to allow for less confusion on what knob does what but they are easy to learn.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
You name it you can get it out of this bass. Played through a good amp and you have a performance instrument that can cover the gamit of the music you want to play.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The black finish with the white trim gives it a real serious look.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action was wonderful The set up was just what I wanted. With round wound strings I get the tone I want.
