Subject:excellent guitar, especially for $299
Quality: Yes, the guitar looks and feels well made, and should prove dependable. Outstanding quality, especially at this price!
Sound: I think the tone is pretty good, but I can't make an accurate assessment because I use amp modeling software (Waves GTR Solo) on my MacBook in lieu of a guitar amp. It has a nice ring and sustain even when it's not plugged in, though, which is a good sign.
Reliability: Don't know, since I just got it. (Ignore the 5 stars for reliability, above. I didn't know how to change that to "not applicable.") That said, the guitar appears to be well constructed and looks like it will hold up over time. Comes with a limited lifetime warranty, which suggests that Schecter has some faith in their build quality.
Overall: I've owned this guitar for a couple weeks and really love it. It's a dramatic improvement over the Yamaha Pacifica that I was renting previously. The build and quality of the Omen 6 make it feel and play like a "real" guitar, as opposed to a "beginner" guitar (like the Yamaha). Wonderful instrument, worth every penny.
Playability and Feel: I tried out some guitars at a local brick-and-mortar store before buying this model online from AMS. The Schecter Omen 6 is slightly heavier than a Fender Stratocaster and lighter than a Gibson Les Paul. It's also a bit heavier than the Yamaha Pacifica I was renting. I like the nice "in between" feel of this Schecter -- not too heavy, not too light. The body shape is also very nice, and it fits me better than any other guitar I've tried (rests comfortably in my lap, doesn't jab me in the ribcage, etc.). The neck is a bit thicker and wider than the Fender or Yamaha and is easier for me to play, perhaps because I learned to play guitar on an acoustic model. Controls are easily accessible. Overall, excellent playability and feel. I find myself playing comfortably for hours without noticing the time!
Tone: Again, see my caveat about the sound (above). But when I tried this guitar in the store, it had a warm, smooth sound overall. I play blues, classic rock, and contemporary pop and this guitar does a good job with all those genres. But it can also scream and crunch with the best of them, if you want it to.
Finish: The black satin finish is gorgeous, and the guitar arrived without any flaws or scratches (that I could find). Nice looking wood on the neck and headstock, as well.
Action: Very good action. Opened the box, tuned up, and was playing in no time.

Quality: This guitar has a great sound and good quality. I was very suprised for spending only $300
Reliability: I have only had about a week or so but the guitar and I are growing on each other very well. I played till my calouses wore off and the axe still sounded great
Overall: I am very happy with this guitar, I am a blues player myself but It can easily be used for all styles from rock to the nice warm sound it has in it for jazz.
Playability and Feel: The neck felt good, the guitar feels solid but not too heavy
Tone: I love the warm tone on this thing
Finish: Mine has the Gloss white finish and a white guitar never looked so good. It shines.
Action: Action was pretty good, I did have to lower the bridge just a hair but that was for my own preference
