    Product Description

A name in country music that needs no introduction, three-time Grammy Award winning artist Brad Paisley is a bona fide country music legend. Little wonder, then, that Fender wanted to build an instrument inspired by this true talent. The vision behind the Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster was to capture the mojo and style of Brad’s playing while maintaining a true Tele feel—all with some custom mods that bring out Paisley’s unique sound.
The Brad Paisley Signature Telecaster model marks another great achievement for the Fender team’s custom shop; it’s a fine instrument and certainly one of a kind. The worn look and silver-sparkle finish instantly catch your eye under the stage lights, and the sound has the twang, confidence, and elegance you’d expect from a guitar played by Mr. Paisley. Make no mistake, this is still a true Telecaster through and through, but Paisley’s specifications make it a real masterpiece of modern country guitar playing.

Great looks and pure tone have always been hallmarks of the Fender Brand, and the Brad Paisley Signature Road Worn Telecaster bears the Fender name like a champ!

This Telecaster body uses a unique combination of a paulownia wood core surrounded by a spruce top. Paulownia (often called “princess tree” or “empress tree”) is a current darling of the guitar-building world. Resonant yet incredibly lightweight, paulownia has been a revered wood in Japanese and Korean luthiery for centuries, but Western instrument makers have only recently awakened to its fitness for a variety of applications, from soundboards to bracing. As a tone wood, paulownia’s high strength-to-weight ratio yields a featherweight, non-fatiguing instrument body with excellent projection and a distinctive tone. The result is a more acoustic-sounding guitar due to its lightweight foundation.

But that’s just the beginning. Paisley’s signature axe needed to sound as special as its namesake, so Fender and Paisley went with a pickup configuration consisting of a custom-wound ‘64 Tele bridge pickup and a Fender Custom Shop Twisted Tele® pickup for the neck. The resulting tone is balanced and has the perfect amount of twang and warmth, ideal for Paisley’s intricate playing. Another key component of the Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster is the ‘Enhanced V’ shaped neck. Smooth playability and comfortable chording is paramount to Paisley’s playing style, and the ‘Enhanced V’ neck profile provides a comfortable platform for active fretwork. The ‘V’ neck fills the hand nicely at the nut allowing for easy chording, and then begins to flatten out as you climb higher on the fretboard. High-register soloing is more comfortable, again complimenting Paisley’s playing style.

Another nice touch on the Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster is the modern 9.5-inch radius fingerboard with medium-jumbo frets. This setup makes bending and playing faster runs much easier than on other fingerboards. While all the subtle touches under the hood of this guitar make it such a special instrument, nothing is more striking than the guitar’s appearance. Paisley’s Telecaster sports a gorgeous silver sparkle “Road Worn” lacquer finish, coupled with aged nickel/chrome hardware that draws its inspiration from the wear and tear of life on the road. This Signature Tele also has several elegant touches that really make the guitar stand out. These include a custom clear pickguard lined with black and silver paisleys, and a cowboy hat emblem on the guitar’s headstock.
Great looks and pure tone have always been hallmarks of the Fender Brand, and the Brad Paisley Signature Road Worn Telecaster bears the Fender name like a champ! Whether you’re a Fender Telecaster lover, collector, or just an outright fan of Brad Paisley, this is a must-have instrument for your collection. The Brad Paisley Road Worn Telecaster brings a vintage vibe to the modern world, and is the right fit for today’s country music guitarist.

What is your opinion of this product?
This may not be everyone's Telecaster, but if you like the old ones, it may be just the ticket. Pickups are awesome to my ears. Iti's light as a feather and reminds me of a 57 Esquire I recently played, but sounds better. Big vintage vibe here. Love the V neck, the vintage tuners, tophat selector switch, and it plays pretty well for a factory set-up. I might tilt the neck back just a scoch later, but for now, love the way the strings bend. I may play this thing all night! Thanks AMS, you've been good for me!

    A really good guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
I know many people aren't thrilled with the cosmetics of this guitar, but I can assure you it looks much better in person. Looks aside, this is an astonishingly solid telecaster. It's light, plays great and sounds amazing. I've been a telecaster enthusiast for 25 yrs and have owned and played more than I can count. This is one of the best. I'm not the least bit put off that this is made in Mexico. The price is more than fair, when compared to other guitars on the market. Fender and Mr.Paisley did a great job designing this guitar. It's well thought out. If you can live with the looks, you can have a smokin tele.

What is your opinion of this product?
I played one of these at NAMM in Nashville. It was nice but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $950 for a MIM with no G bender.

    Love the tone!!
What is your opinion of this product?
Great tone, great playability, great look! Really like the shape of the neck, makes for easy transitions. True tele sound, and the road worn look is the best.

    Lose the roadworn look.
What is your opinion of this product?
Fender has got to start losing the "road worn" guitar look. I've always taken care of my guitars, going back to 1964, and they never ended up looking "road worn." Take a cue from Gibson ... overpriced, yes, but they sell beautiful, non-road worn guitars.

    Awesome tone and feel
What is your opinion of this product?
My wife bought this for me, and couldn't wait to get home and play it. Plays great and sounds great. Takes me a bit getting used to the bigger neck, but I like it. These pickups sound awesome too! The only thing is the roadworn finish, doesn't look as real as I'd like, but I think the feel and tone make up for it.
