Before Robert Moog began designing his trademark analog synths, he built and sold theremins. For over 50 years, Moog Music has sold more of these instruments than any other company. The reason? Once you see and hear one in action, you'll want to incorporate it into your own setup! Based on the construction of two metal antennas, the theremin is an electronic musical instrument that generates sound through the use of nearby proximity sensors. Moving your hands horizontally and vertically in the vicinity of these sensors will alter both frequency oscillation (pitch) and volume.
