Schecter started as a repair shop in Van Nuys in 1976 before the guitars followed. The Hellraiser and Omen series are the most recognizable parts of the catalog, with high-output pickups, extended-range options, neck profiles for heavy playing, and high-performance electronics. The Demon, Damien, and Apocalypse models push further into that same territory, with aggressive aesthetics and specs matched to the style. If you're playing heavy music and want your guitar to match, go with a Schecter.
