Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH Electric Guitar

The Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH ditches the standard country twang for a beefy bark, blending peerless craftsmanship with sheer sonic substance. You get an exquisite, high-end playing experience that pairs premium woods with powerful electronics, creating a versatile workhorse built for the modern stage.

Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH Looks That Kill

    Looks That Kill (And Thrill)

The FMT HH doesn't just ask for attention; it commands it. With its carved flame maple top catching the stage lights, it’s a downright gorgeous slab of wood that feels as luxurious as it looks. Fender pulled out all the stops to make this model an absolute showstopper from headstock to strap button.

    • Carved Flame Maple Top: Adds a brilliant, biting snap to your tone while radiating pure luxury under a brilliant Amber finish.
    • Mahogany Set Neck: Unlike the traditional bolt-on necks of yore, this glued-in set neck delivers singing sustain that lasts longer than a drummer’s solo.
    • Elegant Appointments: Cream body binding and shimmering abalone dot inlays frame the instrument beautifully, giving your hands a touch of class to guide them across the fretboard.

    Heavy-Hitting Humbuckers

Forget the polite cluck and pluck. This guitar roars with a pair of premium humbuckers, giving you a massive, muscular tone that handles heavy overdrive and high gain like a heavyweight champion. It is a tonal titan disguised in a familiar shape.

    • Dual Seymour Duncan Pickups: Armed with a fiery Pearly Gates at the bridge and a sweet ’59 at the neck, this guitar serves up everything from crunchy rock rhythms to creamy, soaring leads.
    • Push/Pull Coil Tap: Craving that classic single-coil spank? Just pull up the master tone knob to split the humbuckers and unleash a leaner, brighter bite on demand.
    • Three-Way Switching: Flick between thick neck warmth, a balanced middle blend, or an aggressive bridge attack with zero fuss.

Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH Dark, Daring Details

    Dark, Daring Details

Sleek, stealthy, and rock-solid. The hardware and foundation of this Telecaster aren't just functional; they make a bold visual statement that perfectly offsets the vibrant body finish, ensuring the guitar plays as fiercely as it presents.

    • Smoldering Black Hardware: From the tuning machines and bridge down to the knobs, every piece of hardware is drenched in black, lending a modern, aggressive edge to the vintage body.
    • Flawlessly Matched Headstock: An amber-painted headstock ties the whole aesthetic together, proving that not a single visual detail was overlooked in the quest for six-string perfection.
    • Solid Mahogany Body: This guitar’s foundation is a rich, warm, and wonderfully resonant mahogany body that will push a powerful low-end punch straight through your amp.

    The Ultimate Sonic Shapeshifter

The Custom Telecaster FMT HH is a high-end experience for players who crave vintage vibes paired with a violently versatile voice. It captures the soul of Fender's most iconic shape but injects it with the muscle of a modern hard-rock machine.

Frequently Asked Questions about the Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH

    What does "FMT" stand for?

FMT stands for "Flame Maple Top." This refers to the gorgeous, highly figured piece of carved maple sitting on top of the guitar's mahogany body, which enhances both the visual appeal and the high-end treble response.

Does the FMT HH sound like a standard Telecaster?

Not exactly. Because it features a mahogany body, a set neck, and dual humbuckers, it sounds much thicker, warmer, and more aggressive than a traditional ash or alder Telecaster with single coils. However, you can use the coil-tap feature to mimic thinner, brighter single-coil tones.

What pickups come installed in this guitar?

This model comes factory-equipped with a pair of highly respected Seymour Duncan pickups: a vintage-voiced ’59 SH-1N in the neck position and a slightly hotter Pearly Gates SH-PG1B in the bridge position.

How does the push/pull coil tap work?

The master tone knob doubles as a switch. When you pull the knob upward, it splits the dual coils of the humbuckers, shutting one coil off. This gives you a brighter, snappier single-coil sound, vastly expanding your tonal options.

Is the neck bolt-on or set?

Unlike standard Fender Telecasters which feature a bolt-on neck, the FMT HH features a set (glued-in) mahogany neck. This construction style creates a stronger bond between the neck and body, resulting in warmer tone and significantly improved sustain.

Fender Custom Telecaster FMT HH Features:

Solid mahogany body with a stunning carved flame maple top

    • Mahogany set neck for enhanced resonance and endless sustain
    • Seymour Duncan ’59 (neck) and Pearly Gates (bridge) humbucking pickups
    • Push/pull coil tap switch built into the master tone control
    • Three-way pickup selector toggle switch
    • Gorgeous Amber finish with a matching painted headstock
    • Cream body binding and premium abalone dot fingerboard inlays
    • Sleek black hardware including a string-through-body hardtail bridge
    • Modern "C" shape neck profile for comfortable, fast playing
    • 22 jumbo frets on a rich rosewood or laurel fingerboard

One of the best guitars available today

One of the best guitars currently on the market, great build quality, great pickups and great price. I have two of these, a perfect blend of Fender Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul, though these guitars do have their own voice. The coil tap feature is excellent, great glassy clean tones. I play mostly...

This is a well made telecaster with amazing versatility. Great for rhythm and lead playing. Frets are smooth and rounded for comfort. I bought the black and red version. The fret markers are a beautiful addition.

A perfect HH guitar. Not your fathers Tele!

This guitar came in tune, with nice action and perfect intonation. I literally gigged with it the day after it arrived, and have used it at every gig since. Fit & Finish were flawless, the Pearly Gates bridge pickup is outstanding. The coil tap function gets very usable single coil sounds in both po...
