    Marshall DSL100HR 100-Watt Valve Head

The Marshall script logo is as synonymous with rock 'n' roll as smashed guitars and leather jackets. But the DSL100HR isn't just a museum piece for waxing poetic about the glory days of the Sunset Strip; it's a fire-breathing, all-valve monster house-trained for the modern player. This amp head features four EL34 power tubes, providing the bold British tone that shaped a genre. Yet, it’s refined enough for use in your home studio.

Marshal DSL100HR Two Channels, Infinite Attitude

    Two Channels, Infinite Attitude

Most amps give you a clean channel and a dirty channel, but the DSL100HR gives you distinct personalities. It’s like having a pristine vintage combo and a high-power stack living in the same chassis, without the back-breaking weight of hauling both.

    • Dual Gain Architecture: The Classic Gain channel handles your shimmering cleans and 1959-style crunch, while the Ultra Gain channel pushes into modern, high-saturation territory for searing leads and chugging riffs.
    • Four Signature Voicings: Each channel features two specific modes — Clean/Crunch and OD1/OD2 — effectively giving you four distinct amps at the tap of a footswitch.
    • Precision Sculpting: The refined EQ section features a dedicated Tone Shift button, which scoops the mids for that aggressive modern metal sound.

    Tame the Beast

Let’s be honest: 100 watts of tube power is enough to peel paint off the walls and rattle the fillings out of your drummer’s teeth. While that’s fantastic for Wembley, it’s less ideal for a Tuesday night practice in your apartment. The DSL100HR solves the age-old problem of "tone vs. volume" with intelligent power management that doesn't suck the life out of your sound. You get the saturation and feel of a cranked amp without the eviction notice.

    • Adjustable Power Output: Switch seamlessly between full-blown 100-watt Pentode operation and a neighbor-friendly 50-watt Triode mode that retains the harmonic richness of the valves.
    • Dual Master Volumes: Set one volume for your rhythm playing and a second, louder level for solos, ensuring your leads cut through the mix like a hot knife through butter.
    • Resonance Control: Unlike fixed "Deep" switches of the past, this variable knob lets you dial in the exact amount of low-end thump, tailoring the amp's bass response to the size of the room or the cab you’re using.

Marshal DSL100HR The Modern Studio Weapon

    The Modern Studio Weapon

Recording guitars once meant relying on costly microphones, precise positioning, and hoping the room acoustics worked in your favor. The DSL100HR simplifies the process by teaming up with the audio experts at Softube. With studio-grade emulation built directly into the amp, Marshall ensures the sound you envision is exactly what you capture.

    • Softube Emulated Output: The line out features incredibly accurate cabinet simulation of a Marshall 1960 cabinet, allowing you to run directly to a PA system or recording interface with lifelike tone.
    • Silent Recording Capable: You can safely run the amp in standby mode for silent recording via the emulated output, perfect for capturing late-night inspiration when silence is golden.
    • FX Loop and MIDI: A transparent, series FX loop keeps your time-based effects crisp, while MIDI integration allows you to sync channel switching and loop engagement with your digital rig.

    The King of Crunch

The DSL100HR perfectly balances tradition and innovation. It honors Marshall's legacy with the signature mid-heavy crunch that defined countless hits while embracing modern features. This amp head is designed for guitarists who want versatility and power. Plug in, turn up, and show the world why loud always stands out.

Marshal DSL100HR The King of Crunch

    Marshall DSL100HR Features:

    • 100-watt all-valve head with 4x ECC83 and 4x EL34 tubes
    • Two channels (Classic Gain, Ultra Gain) with separate gain/volume
    • High and Low power settings (100W down to 50W)
    • Softube emulated output for direct recording and monitoring
    • Digital reverb with independent controls for each channel
    • Variable Resonance and Presence controls
    • Dual Master Volumes for rhythm/lead switching
    • Bypassable Series FX Loop

    I looked at several heads

I looked at several heads before deciding to get the DSL100HR. This amp is amazing, the range of tone possibilities is awesome. I play it in my metal band against the other guitar player using an EVH head and this sounds great I prefer it actually. You won't be disappointed.

    This Amp head is so

This Amp head is so much better than I expected it to be, this thing gets great vintage clean/crunch sounds and outstanding high gain sound. The reverb is at a very low level even when all the way on ten but, I'm not a huge reverb fan anyway. If I need that much reverb, I'll buy a reverb pedal. The ...

    Rivals more expetamps

I’ve own/owned Mesa amps, Marshall JVMs and have a Friedman Synergy rig. This amp is as good sounding as any of them. Think of the ultra gain as a modded 800. It does clean to vintage plexi on the classic gain channel. All of them are articulate and responsive. I’m running it through a 4x12 with V...
