You shouldn’t have to pay extra for a little peace of mind. When you purchase from AMS, you’ll get a free 12-month extended warranty to cover your purchase — and that’s in addition to any manufacturer’s warranties! Thousands of items in our catalog feature the “Gold Lock Extended Warranty,” so you can feel confident in your purchase.
Sometimes the gear on the computer screen seems like a better fit than when you actually get your hands on it. We understand, and that’s why AMS offers an industry-leading 45-day money-back guarantee. If you’re not happy with an item, you have a full month and a half to send it back! We don’t want to just sell you gear. We want to sell you the RIGHT gear — even if it takes a few tries.
Don’t sell your soul to a creditor to get the gear you need. At AMS, we want to lower the barriers to create. That’s why we offer in-house 0% financing, and you don’t even have to open a new line of credit! Spread out payments on your credit card to simplify financing and avoid hefty late fees or service charges. Cost shouldn’t interfere with your creativity.
Let’s be honest: most guitars are one-trick ponies. You have your humbucker horse for heavy lifting and your single-coil steed for snappy sprints. The PRS Swamp Ash Special is the thoroughbred that wins the Triple Crown. Built on a lightweight swamp ash body, this guitar has a natural twang and bite that set it apart from its mahogany cousins. Paired with a maple neck and fretboard, the result is a guitar with a tight low-end, bright-but-mellow highs, and a percussive snap that feels incredibly alive in your hands. It's the ultimate bolt-on for the player who refuses to be sonically stereotyped.
If your current guitar has three sounds, the Swamp Ash Special has a dozen, and it’s not afraid to use them. The pickup layout is a masterclass in sonic sorcery: two warm, vintage-voiced 58/15 LT humbuckers hug a PRS Narrowfield middle pickup. The Narrowfield delivers that coveted single-coil bite without the annoying 60-cycle hum that haunts sound engineers' dreams. But here's where the real fun begins. A 5-way blade switch and two mini-toggle coil-taps put a staggering twelve sound combinations at your command. It’s like having an entire guitar collection accessible with the flip of a switch.
A great guitar shouldn't require a prayer every time you touch the tremolo bar. The Swamp Ash Special is armed with the PRS Gen III Patented Tremolo and Phase III locking tuners—a dynamic duo of tuning stability. Dive, flutter, and bend to your heart's content; this system returns to pitch with a relentless precision that borders on robotic. The maple neck, carved into the fan-favorite "Pattern Regular" profile, feels like coming home. It’s comfortable and familiar, providing a fast, smooth runway for your fingers to take flight across the maple fretboard.
This isn't just another guitar; it's a versatile tool for creating music without limits. It's the perfect solution for the session player who needs to cover country, blues, and rock in one sitting, or the gigging musician who's tired of lugging three guitars to every show. With its unique tonal signature and impeccable PRS craftsmanship, the Swamp Ash Special is a formidable instrument that will quickly become the most-reached-for guitar in your arsenal.
