A metal machine, the E-1 FR S boasts outrageously heavy tone, courtesy of a unique pairing of humbuckers. The Schecter E-1 FR S Special Edition comes ready to shred right out of the box!
The E-1 FR S Special Edition features Schecter's killer E-style mahogany body adorned with a beautiful quilt maple top and multi-ply binding. The neck is constructed from 3-piece mahogany and has been shaped to an ultra-thin profile for high velocity soloing and the neck joint is specially contoured to allow easy access to the upper frets. A 12”-16" compound radius ebony fingerboard is outfitted with 24 extra-jumbo frets that will facilitate effortless string bending. The 25.5" scale neck gives the perfect amount of string tension to accommodate lower tunings.
Featuring a pair of humbuckers, the E-1 FR S provides a wide range of tonal possibilities. A Schecter USA Apocalypse-VI sits in the bridge position and delivers a massive biting tone that will cut through in any setting. The Sustainiac Driver/Pickup in the neck position produces beautiful Humbucker tones when the Sustain switch is off and works as the Sustainiac Driver when switched On. The Sustainiac Driver creates an infinite feedback sustain of string vibrations by electromagnetic feedback.
The simplified controls feature master volume and tone controls, 3-way pickup selector toggle switch, and an on/off switch to activate Sustainiac mode. Rounding out the black hardware is a set of Grover tuners and a double-locking Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge that will stabilize tuning and withstand anything you can dish out.
