Featuring 100% maple shells, vintage-inspired aesthetics, and innovative mounting technology, this kit offers classic tone without the classic compromises. 100% Maple Shell Construction: Tom, floor tom, and snare are 6-ply/5mm, while the bass drum is a beefier 8-ply/7mm for optimal resonance and punch.

Great kit for the price!
Drums were easy to assemble, and even with stock heads, they sound great out of the box!
A couple of things are keeping me from giving this set 5 stars:
- The floor tom legs are rather short, so if you're rather tall like myself, you'll need to find some aftermarket floor tom legs that'll get them ...

Really solid kit. Shells are nicely finished. Everything was packed properly. I put some coated ambassador's on the top with clears on the bottom and the shells resonate very nicely. Hard to imagine you can get a better kit for the price. Well done Tama!
