Taylor 414ce Studio Acoustic Electric Guitar

Taylor's 414ce Studio is your all-access pass to the world of premium, U.S.-made, all-solid-wood acoustic guitars. It blends top-tier craftsmanship with a player-friendly price tag, delivering that legendary Taylor tone and feel without compromises.

This guitar is a true workhorse, built to handle everything from intimate coffeehouse gigs to full-blown studio sessions. It’s the perfect partner for any player ready to step up to a professional-grade instrument that will inspire them for years to come.

Taylor 414ce Studio Your All-Access Acoustic

    Your All-Access Acoustic

With its combination of classic tonewoods and innovative design, the 414ce Studio is crafted to be exceptionally versatile. The Grand Auditorium body shape, a Taylor signature, strikes the perfect balance between a small-bodied fingerstyle guitar and a powerful dreadnought. It responds beautifully to a light touch, letting every nuance of your fingerpicking shine through, but it also has plenty of headroom for when you want to dig in and strum with passion.

    • Solid Indian Rosewood Back and Sides: Get ready for rich, deep lows and sparkling, clear highs. Rosewood provides a harmonically complex voice with a slightly scooped midrange, creating a sound that's full and resonant. It’s the sound you've heard on countless hit records, and it's perfect for both solo performers and players in a band mix.
    • Solid Torrefied Sitka Spruce Top: Think of a great vintage acoustic with a perfectly aged-in sound. That's what you get with a torrefied spruce top. This special roasting process mimics the effects of natural aging, giving the guitar a wider dynamic range, enhanced responsiveness, and a warm, broken-in character right out of the box.
    • V-Class Bracing: This is Taylor's secret sauce. The award-winning V-Class bracing architecture transforms how the top vibrates, resulting in more volume, longer sustain, and purer intonation all the way up the neck. Chords ring out with incredible clarity and individual notes have a powerful, focused voice.

Playability That Begs to Be Touched

The 414ce Studio isn't just about incredible tone; it's designed to feel like an extension of your own hands. From the neck profile to the feel of the fingerboard, every detail has been optimized for comfort and effortless playability, inviting you to play for hours on end.

    • Comfortable Neck Profile: The 1-11/16-inch nut width offers a slightly slimmer feel that's comfortable for both chording and single-note runs. It’s a classic neck dimension that feels immediately familiar and accommodating to a wide range of hand sizes and playing styles.
    • Genuine West African Ebony Fingerboard: Ebony is the gold standard for fingerboards for a reason. Its smooth, dense surface feels incredible under your fingertips, allowing for fluid, fast playing. Plus, it adds a touch of brightness and clarity to each note you play.
    • Venetian Cutaway: Need access to those upper frets for your soaring solos? The graceful, soft-rounded Venetian cutaway gives you uninhibited reach to those higher notes on the fingerboard without sacrificing the guitar's tonal balance.

Taylor 414ce Studio Stage-Ready Electronics and Style

    Stage-Ready Electronics and Style

When it's time to plug in and perform, the 414ce Studio is ready to deliver. It comes equipped with Taylor’s groundbreaking electronics and is decked out in appointments that give it a look of understated elegance.

    • Expression System 2 (ES2) Electronics: This isn't your average pickup. The ES2 features a revolutionary behind-the-saddle design that captures more of the guitar's dynamic properties. The result is a beautifully clear and natural amplified tone that faithfully translates the guitar’s acoustic voice, whether you're plugging into a PA system, an acoustic amp, or a recording interface.
    • Full-Gloss Body and Refined Aesthetics: A full-gloss finish protects the wood and brings out the natural beauty of the rosewood and spruce. Subtle appointments like the black-and-white top trim, 4mm Italian acrylic dot inlays, and a faux tortoiseshell pickguard give the guitar a clean, classic look that's timeless.
    • Structured Gig Bag: Your guitar deserves protection. The included structured gig bag is sturdy and lightweight, providing a secure and convenient way to transport your instrument to gigs, rehearsals, or wherever your music takes you.

Nice, warmer, more rounded sound than my teacher’s 214ce. The guitar is so comfortable and easy to play. Recommend to everyone that ask

    Taylor does it right

Didn't like the top of the first one I ordered and sent it back. The replacement came quick enough. The top on this one doesnt have much in the way of burst, but I really like the way honeyed colour looks on it and theres no flaws I can find. Played for my family out of the box and they were impress...
