Taylor’s design team set out to create the ultimate acoustic-electric guitar for players who expect top-tier performance, and the Builder’s Edition 524ce delivers. This Grand Auditorium model showcases exceptional craftsmanship and innovative features for outstanding tone and comfort.
The striking Kona Burst finish highlights the responsibly sourced Shamel ash back and sides, paired with a solid neo-tropical mahogany top. Together, they produce warm, focused mids that excel in fingerstyle playing and stand out during strumming. With V-Class bracing, Expression System 2 electronics, and player-friendly details like a beveled armrest and chamfered edges, this guitar offers exceptional sound and effortless playability.
The 524ce doesn't just look like a masterpiece — it sounds like one. Taylor chose solid mahogany for the top to provide warmth, midrange emphasis, and natural compression that flatters everything from delicate fingerpicking to bold strumming. The solid Shamel ash back and sides — responsibly sourced from urban trees in Southern California — deliver a balanced, woody voice with focused fundamentals and controlled overtones. Think of it as the eco-friendly cousin of Honduran mahogany.
Long rehearsals and marathon writing sessions demand more than just great tone — they require a guitar that feels like an extension of your body. The Builder's Edition 524ce is meticulously designed for ultimate playing comfort, with ergonomic features that reduce fatigue and let you focus on making music, not managing discomfort.
Plug in with confidence. The 524ce comes loaded with Taylor's Expression System 2 electronics, a breakthrough behind-the-saddle design that captures more of your guitar's dynamic properties and natural voice. Whether you're recording in the studio or commanding the stage, these pickups deliver clarity and authenticity without the artificial harshness that plagues lesser systems.
A true masterpiece of luthiery, the Taylor Builder's Edition 524ce is a feast for the eyes and ears. From its striking Kona Burst finish and fiery pickguard to the elegant Compass inlays, every detail sings of Taylor's devotion to both beauty and performance. The versatile Grand Auditorium body handles everything from delicate fingerpicking to vigorous strumming with articulate grace.
Whether you're a seasoned collector or a musician demanding top-tier quality, the 524ce delivers an inspiring playing experience that will elevate your music.
