Taylor 800 Series
Taylor's flagship rosewood/spruce 800 Series traces back to Bob Taylor's earliest guitars. In honor of the company's 40th anniversary, the series was infused with a sweeping array of tone-enhancing refinements, a nod to Taylor's driving passion for improving the guitar-playing experience. The astonishing results include more volume, sustain, and tonal uniformity from one end of the tonal spectrum to the other. At the same time, each body style was uniquely revoiced to optimize its inherent tonal strengths. Virtually every facet of material construction was considered: bracing, wood thicknesses, glues, finish, string gauges and acoustic electronics, and then topped off with a refreshed design aesthetic. Details include pale maple binding with rosewood top trim, responsibly sourced smoky ebony fretboards with a mother-of-pearl Element inlay scheme, and a rosewood pickguard. The rebirth of a Taylor classic has set a new standard for how good a rosewood guitar can sound.
