Crafted from all solid AA grade Indian Rosewood back and sides and paired with an Adirondack Spruce top, the Builders Edition 814ce delivers strong bass response, clear highs, and a smooth, slightly scooped midrange with impressive headroom and dynamic range. An ultra thin gloss finish enhances projection and responsiveness, allowing the guitar to fully reflect the player’s touch.
New for 2026, this next generation Builders Edition 814ce introduces three major performance upgrades: the Action Control Neck for fast, precise neck angle adjustments under full string tension; updated Scalloped V Class bracing for enhanced low end bloom, sustain, and intonation; and Taylor’s new Claria active pickup system, offering clear, plug and play amplified tone with intuitive soundhole mounted controls.
Premium Builder’s Edition appointments include a beveled armrest and cutaway, chamfered body and neck edge treatment, Gotoh 21:1 antique gold tuners, curved wing bridge, rosewood pickguard, and Element mother of pearl fretboard and peghead inlays.
