Don’t let the compact size fool you; the Alto Professional TX408X is the kind of speaker that shows up to a gig looking unassuming and then proceeds to fill the entire room with rich, punchy sound that has no business coming from something that small.
Built for live bands, DJs, home studios, and intimate venues, this powered PA speaker packs 350 watts of clean, controlled audio into a lightweight, no-fuss package that goes wherever the music takes you.
Most speakers at this price point ask you to choose between portability and performance. The TX408X refuses to play that game. Its 8-inch low-frequency driver and 1-inch titanium diaphragm compression driver team up to deliver a sound that is surprisingly full-bodied and detailed, whether you are using it as a stage monitor, a front-of-house speaker, or the backbone of your home studio setup. At max volume, it still holds onto every crisp nuance and detail — no mush, no distortion, just clean output that punches well above its price tag.
Connectivity shouldn’t be a headache, and with the TX408X, it’s not. The built-in 2-channel mixer handles microphone and line-level inputs with ease, while Bluetooth streaming lets you pull audio from your phone, tablet, or laptop without hunting for cables. For those running a stereo setup, the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) speaker linking feature pairs two TX408X units together over Bluetooth — no cable runs, no fuss, just clean stereo sound.
Gear that does not survive the journey from the car to the venue is not worth owning. The TX408X is built with a full metal grille that protects the drivers from the bumps, drops, and general chaos of real-world use. It also comes with a top carry handle, a standard speaker pole socket, and a monitor angle configuration — meaning it works as a main speaker or flips into a floor monitor without any adapter gymnastics required.
The Alto Professional TX408X is a powered PA speaker that respects your budget without disrespecting your ears. Running sound for a live band? Monitoring your mix on stage? Pumping music through a gym? This speaker handles it all with clarity, reliability, and a lightweight build that makes load-in and load-out a whole lot less painful. It's a smart, well-engineered tool for anyone who wants great sound without breaking the bank.
