The 70Hce is joined at the 14th fret, unlike a traditional classical guitar which is joined at the 12th, making this feel more familiar to steel-string players. It features a narrower nut width than standard classical guitars and has a radiused fingerguard, rather than flat.

The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.
