The Brownie is a voltage controller designed specifically for modern tube amplifiers, offering unmatched control, flexibility, and protection. The Brownie allows musicians to precisely adjust voltage in -1V increments (down to -7V) AND increase voltage +3V or +5V steps (max +5V), ensuring optimal performance.
With wall voltage varying from 115V to 129V depending on location and various other aspects, the Brownie enables players to maintain a consistent tone and amplifier longevity.
When a tube amplifier is supplied with the proper line voltage, it will sound and respond as originally intended, revealing the circuit’s true harmonic content, and preventing unnecessary, expensive, and frustrating repairs. Today, we should be receiving 120V AC from the wall, but depending on where you are and what time of day it is, you can receive anywhere from 120V to 129V.
