With 24 polyphonic aftertouch pads, an advanced wavetable synthesis engine, and modulation options that would make a modular enthusiast blush, this synth is built for those who refuse to compromise on sound quality or creative control.
The Hydrasynth Desktop doesn't just give you synthesis tools — it gives you a complete sonic laboratory. At its core are three oscillators with access to 219 single-cycle waveforms, but the real magic happens when you engage the WAVELIST mode. Unlike traditional wavetable synths that lock you into preset tables, the Hydrasynth lets you handpick any eight waveforms and morph between them however you like. It's like being a DJ, but for individual sound waves.
The Hydrasynth Desktop transforms every sound into a living, breathing organism with five LFOs, five envelopes, and a 32-slot modulation matrix that connects 35 sources to 191 destinations. The LFOs feature a step mode with up to 64 programmable steps, essentially giving you five mini step sequencers to automate anything your imagination can conjure. Envelopes can loop to function as additional LFOs, and nearly every parameter — including effects and arpeggiator settings — can become a modulation destination.
Who says rack synths can't be expressive? The Hydrasynth Desktop/Rack shatters that stereotype with 24 velocity and pressure-sensitive RGB Polytouch pads, giving you genuine polyphonic aftertouch without needing an external MPE controller.
With multiple pad layouts and instant access to 60 scales (including microtonal flavors), this desktop unit becomes a playable instrument in its own right. Eight assignable Macro controls let you morph between sonic universes with a single twist, while the arpeggiator’s RATCHET and CHANCE parameters inject rhythmic chaos and happy accidents into your patterns.
