Don't just pick out a guitar, pick out YOUR guitar. When ordering a guitar by serial number from AMS you aren't simply choosing a guitar model, you're choosing the very guitar that will wind up in your hands. That unique flow to the grain, the sunburst finish that's just slightly darker than the one next to it; musicians like yourself understand that these things matter when searching for the guitar of your dreams and newest addition to the family. Shopping by serial number allows you the convenience of buying online combined with the essence of the in-store experience. At AMS, what you see is what you get.
Some guitars chase trends. This one set them. The Charvel American Neo-Classic San Dimas Style 1 Floyd Rose fuses authentic 1980 super-strat DNA with modern muscle, so you get that legendary feel without a single ounce of vintage flakiness. We started with the classic alder San Dimas body—balanced, resonant, and packed with warm midrange punch and crisp high-end clarity that slices through any mix with authority. This is the gateway guitar for players who want classic Charvel attitude and rock-solid reliability in one irresistible package.
Comfort and speed should never fight each other, and here they don't. The one-piece quartersawn maple neck is faithfully reproduced from authentic 1980 specs, then reinforced with graphite for stability that laughs at temperature swings and aggressive playing. The 12"–16" compound radius fingerboard starts comfy for chording down low and flattens out up high for effortless, choke-free bends. Add 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, rolled fingerboard edges that feel like a glove, and Luminlay side dots that guide your hands on dark stages, and you've got a neck begging you to play faster, cleaner, and longer. The end-mounted truss rod wheel makes setup tweaks lightning fast, too.
Plug in and prepare for serious tonal range. The Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge delivers high-output bite for soaring solos and crushing riffs, while the creamy '59 in the neck serves up expressive vintage warmth for leads and rich rhythms. A 5-way blade switch unlocks coil-split combinations between the two, giving you fat humbucker grunt, glassy in-between quack, and everything in between—all governed by a single low-friction volume pot that keeps your controls clean and out of the way. Down at the bridge, the top-mount Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo locks your tuning dead-on through unlimited dive bombs and shimmering flutters. Abuse the bar all night; it stays in tune.
The San Dimas Style 1 Floyd Rose is authentic Charvel craftsmanship meeting tomorrow's innovation, and it refuses to compromise on either. It looks sharp, plays impossibly fast, and stays in tune no matter how hard you push it. Whether you're tracking in the studio or owning the stage, this is your ticket to expressive, high-energy playing. Grab yours today, tuck it safely into the included Charvel Multi-Fit hardshell gig bag, and go make some serious noise.
